Can one be lusting even if one isn’t consciously desiring to have sexual intercourse with anyone?
How can you think of someone in a lustful way but not desire to have sexual relations? Isn’t that what lusting is, sexual fantasy or “I would if I could”.Yes, Jesus indicated in the gospel to even think about another in a sexual manner is the same as adultry.
We can appreciate the great design God established and the attraction he gave us for each other, that prompts us to participate in creating more souls for heaven. We must show respect for his gifts though. We need to follow his example and teaching.
I recommend reading before bed a chapter of The Imitation of Christ, by Thomas A. Kempis.
I think Maxirad means the difference between having physical urgings and dwelling on them. I find there is a difference, personally. They mentioned lusting - not *thinking *in a lustful way.How can you think of someone in a lustful way but not desire to have sexual relations? Isn’t that what lusting is, sexual fantasy or “I would if I could”.
