If my family makes chicken soup, may I eat it if I remove all visible pieces of chicken from it?
What in the world is this supposed to say?Fridays for us are fish my daughter or homemade macaroni and cheese.
I think it means when they run out of fish and macaroni and cheese they will have to resort to eating their daughter. What in the world is this supposed to say?
That is it EXACTLY!I think it means when they run out of fish and macaroni and cheese they will have to resort to eating their daughter.![]()
Yes, that is allowed.I suppose you could, but the soup still has chicken broth in it. I’m not sure if that counts as meat neccesairly. Personally, My mom makes homemade vegetable soup. I eat that on fridays.![]()
WAIT Did she just say that fridays are fish, her DAUGHTER, OR macoroni and cheese LOL
Man, gotta mind your P’s and Q’s on forums. Or in my case, dropped words.Lol that freaked me out![]()
That was my main worry, too!Wow I was really worried
Daughters count as meat!!! :tsktsk:
In the oooooold days of pre-Vatican II, you couldn’t eat meat or soups, sauces, or gravies made from meat. Also prohibited were animal fat products such as lard. Eggs, milk, cheese, and butter were OK. Not long ago, I read that they had relaxed some of these prohibitions because some cultures used things like lard extensively in their cooking, but I couldn’t find a reference. If my family makes chicken soup, may I eat it if I remove all visible pieces of chicken from it?
Grilled portobello mushroom make excellent “hamburgers”.Actually, some veggie burgers are surprisingly good. They need a lot of condiments and lettuce, etc. to carry them off, though. I like scrambled eggs and toast. I’m just saying, you know, while you’re cooking anyway…
