Baptism is a sacrament. It has its effect whether or not faith is present. How do you mean?
Here is a good in-depth explanation.

The above is a Protestant source not a Catholic one. Protestant beliefs regarding baptism vary greatly.
Last May I was confirmed and recieved First Holy Communion.were you ever a member of the RC Church ? i.e. had you been Baptised , Received First Holy Communion and been Confirmed
Yes thats right. You state you were Chrismated into the Orthodox Church by an Orthodox priest whilst you were in prison - yes ?
Yes that is correct it was May 2017 and my Christmation into Orthodoxy was 2009 in prisonI’m still confused - as I think are all here.
When was your Confirmation and First holy Communion - was it May 2017 ?
When was your Chrismation into Orthodoxy ?
It was a Bishop who recieved me in my previous hospitalAlso the priest who Received you into the Catholic Church
No. That isn’t clear. One thing is clear from that - UNLESS you have formally applied for a change in Canonical Enrolment you are an Eastern Catholic .
That means that if the Orthodox baptism as a second attempt at Baptism, it would not have the effect of making him Orthodox.…because I was Christened as a baby any other baptism is void as I cannot be baptised twice![]()
More confusion.eagerbeaver:![]()

I don’t think it’s been posted clearly what the OP means by “Christening.” We need to know that. Hence, my #1 above. It hasn’t been stated.Fr David
Up thread the OP stated <<But is a Church of England Christening valid as a Baptism in the Catholic Church, I was Christened as a baby therefore I was’nt a believer in Christ.>>
So unless he was Received into the RC Church prior to his Chrismation into Orthodoxy in 2009 [ which does not usually involve Baptism first for Converts who have been Baptised using a Trinitarian Form ] his Chrismation into Orthodoxy holds and his Reception into Catholicism in 2017 brings him in to the Eastern Catholic Church.
Yes he was fully aware I was Orthodox. As I said - was he aware that you were Orthodox ?
