Grace Seeker;2482097I am having trouble with some contradictions in some of what you have told me. At least to me they appear to be contradictions. [/QUOTE said:
Hi
Quran is not a book of stories; it is a systematic and living book, it has no contradiction. It not only clears the seemingly contradictions of the readers, but it also clears the contradictions of other Revealed Book by fine argument that are rational, reasonable and logical.
I think it is clear to you.
Thanks

Well, I am not Catholic, but that is of little consequence to this discussion.

What I do see is that you deny that Jesus died on the cross, and you deny that the Qur’an states that he was never even crucified. You claim that Jesus was put on the cross, but did not die there. This is definitely contrary to the testimony of the Christian scriptures, which you think them corrupted anyway. But it is also contrary to my reading of the Qur’an. Your explanation I do not find to be in harmony with what I actually read in the Qur’an itself.

I don’t believe the Qur’an is correct in saying that Jesus did not die on the cross. But I do believe that when the Qur’an says that it only appears that Jesus died on the cross it means not that Jesus was on the cross but merely swooned, rather it means that it wasn’t even Jesus who was on the cross but someone else who appeared to everyone as Jesus.

And given that understanding it seems to me you believe something differerent regarding Jesus’ death than what is written in the Qur’an.

Hi
You are welcome to differ with me, there is no compulsion to agree with me.
By the way, you have stated that you are not a Catholic; which denomination do you belong to ?
Thanks

The Word of GodAllahYHWH is and had been the first/authentic and primary source of human knowledge whether revealed on Moses/Buddha/Jesus/Muhammad or Mirza Ghulam Ahmad; it is of itself complete and without doubt and requires no external witnessing.
