That Koresh guy was kicked out of the SDA church because he was a freak. He`s got nothing to do with them.
The Branch Davidians were started by Victor Houteff in 1935 - they were excommunicated from the SDA in 1942. David Koresh (whose real name was Vernon Howell) wasn’t even born yet.

:rotfl:

You should have said something like “the further away from Jesus Christ…”, that would have been much better 😉
It goes without saying, as I had already stated that Jesus Christ left a living Church. That is the Catholic Church.

So, to chose another faith is to reject Jesus Christ more and more.

Same difference. The Catholic Church is the Body of Christ. :extrahappy:

It does not go without saying that Jesus left us the Catholic church. He didnt.

To reject the Catholic church is to reject Jesus Christ?

To be on the safe side, worship and love God everyday.

1 Tim 1

3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. 5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, 6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, 9 knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust.

Thanks be to God, as a Catholic I can participate in corporate worship daily if I chose to.😉

The CHURCH is the body of Christ- not the Catholic one! :extrahappy: :extrahappy: :extrahappy:
Yes, we see your opinion on this and on keeping the saturday sabbath.

Lets hear your argument for following the saturday sabbath as a protestant and establish for us in an unbroken like how the true christians did this.

Christ established only one Church, and He did so in 30 AD. Only the Catholic Church is even old enough to be that Church - everything else started much later than that.

So, by a process of elimination, we immediately see that Christ’s Church has to be the Catholic Church, because it can’t be any of the others.

Didn’t know you’re a woman so the hombre definitely doesn’t apply to you.

Apart from that I like the dude word. I’m a foreigner anyway so for me it doesn’t have any age related connotations.

Here`s the simple argumentation concerning Sabbath- it has never been changed. You actually have to prove that it has been changed.

But, what about the “invisible church” theory jmcrae. I hear a lot about that when I tell people this, do you hear that one too?

I think we have already done this by establishing that the Catholic Church has spoken on the matter, therefore the matter is closed.

You need to establish that true christians have practiced this heresy in an unbroken like.

The Bible tells us that He did. (Matthew 16:18-19; Matthew 28:16-20; John 21:15-19)

Yes. (Acts 9:4)
Matthew 16:18-19 = Peter was not Catholic.

Matthew 28:16-20 = Jesus is not talking about the Catholic church. Read the text.

John 21:15-19 = Peter was not Catholic. Actually at that stage Peter is closer to being an Adventist than Catholic.

Check your line of reasoning, you ask me to provide arguments for my claims but at the same time youre stating "case closed". Theres actually no point in talking to you. I think I`m gonna go watch Spiderman now 😉

Peter was not a Catholic? SDA’s were not around then.

You do feel you are a true christian no?

Simply support your argument with like minded individuals as yourself that can trace this heresy in an unbroken line.

This should be quite “doable” if in fact you are what you claim to be.

I have heard this theory - it makes no sense at all; how do you take your brother who sins to the Church, as the Scriptures command us, if it is invisible? 🤷

You`re joking, the SDA wasnt around 2000 years ago??? Hahaha, how old are you?

And yes, Peter was N O T a Catholic. What I meant is that by keeping the Sabbath he was closer to be an “adventist” than a “catholic”. I DID NOT mean that he was an official member of the SDA church because as you have rightly pointed out thet SDA did not even exist then! Miss Marple!

Its problematic of course. Then I always think of how truth is light and cannot be hidden by darkness.

Where do we see that truth ever being under a bushel basket?

🤷
