Correct, they believe themselves to be of the same nature as God, and are themselves, gods in the making. This life is a step on the progression to becoming a god.i do not know whether gazelam is writing official LDS doctrine when he writes, " I do believe I existed from the beginning with you and God the Father and everyone else."
but it does make it seem that mormons believe that they are not creatures.
They believe the translation is wrong, and should read “God made”. Their belief then goes from there, to “the Gods” made everything from existing material. ie, there is material existing that “the Gods” did not make, but used to create.i am unsure how the LDS reconciles gaszelam’s statement with genesis where it is written, “in the beginning, God created …”.
