I am guessing he find no “apostles” from the Catholic Church who willingly supported the Nazi party…

The guy had no logic, double talk, and impossible to dialogue with.

This confused, confundido, caused another thread to be banned. Said he was on mission to protect the LDS, after praying and God telling him to do so, and prior, saying in prayer God told him this religion was right.

No sense of reason. No sense…believes in nonsense.

Sadly, the way Mormons typically act is to do a step process in dealing with us…
  1. Respond with the tired old apologetics…when that does not sway us…
  2. Say we are wrong and misinterpreting or misreading…when we prove they are wrong
  3. Say that the alleged prophet was not speaking as a prophet…when we show them that they were…
  4. Either ignore us and stop responding or
4a. get rude and personal and/or
4b. disappear till a later topic comes along.
All we can do is pray for them. This is Lent…we should pray for them every day of Lent as a Lenten goal.

So true…yes…we pray for the Mormon people.

For the Mormons who come here…please go to www.stlukeproductions.com and on left column, click on ‘Benedictus for today’…and up will come his readings in the oral tradtion where you can hear his talk for the day.

This week focused alot on truth, what it is, and the fruits it brings to the world and to our own souls.

It is also a good example of how penetrating the word of God is and theological reflections from The Word when we hear them vs reading text form. I am getting so much more by hearing than reading.

God bless!

This is the week. I am writing the letter and removing my name from the rolls of the LDS Church.

I will lose many friends and will probably be shunned by some family.

But the truth is worth it.

It will not be easy. I went thru the same thing…I lost many friends. But my salvation was worth all of them.

I will be praying for you

Your last sentence speaks volumes.

New friends can be found.

There isn’t much you can do about family no matter what the situation. You can pick alot of things in this world, but family is not one of them. 😛

Remember, by you doing this, you are planting a seed. Not only in yourself, but in all of those around you.

There will be good coming out of this.

God bless you Sunstone for taking such an important step. Remember friends are just strangers you haven’t met yet.

Oh wow. Good luck. I’m sure your true friends will be with you no matter what. If you have time, please see my thread that I recently posted, as I consider reverting back to Catholicism. Very tough indeed.

Some more to pray for.

Many converted to Catholicism with the death of JPII.

Sunstone, congratulations. I said the same to LW…Christ says to follow him above everything else, family included. The journey is so well worth it. You may be a witness to others and they may follow. Praying for you.

:highprayer:

The grace people will experience will be so great that you will truly be confirmed in the Holy Trinity, an experience so real and transcendent that the Lord alone will be your strength.

And automatically you will experience communion with all believers, depending on your depth of conversion, you will have a church of new friends. Friendships, through the Lord, will automatically be there when you are finally and formally entered into the Church.

For Catholics who have left, you just need to go to confession to a priest and then you can be restored to full communion and receive the Eucharist at the next Mass…wherever it is being said.

But it is good to go into RCIA to get foundations and perspective on Church of today.

I’m not sure I understand LDS beliefs, so please correct me if I’m wrong here, either in the question or the presuppositions that led to it.
We are all “spirit children” of God in the spiritual ‘realm’. However, I understand that LDS believe God has a physical body, so #1- can someone explain that? Do we have physical bodies in the spirit world, too?
#2- if we are all literal children of God, does that mean we are marrying and parenting our literal brothers and sisters in this world? If not, please set me straight.
#3-if yes, are we brothers and sisters again when we return to the spirit world, or are we still husbands and wives? Which is what I thought the “sealing” for eternity was about.
I would suggest mormon.org or if you know a active LDS member, have them see the Gospel Principles book, that has a chapter on this subject.
