I’m not that knowledgeable about scripture could you please give me the verse?
That’s weird, I’ve had the same experience you have but it always comes from Catholics at my wife’s church…usually just from being the “wrong” type of Christian.I’ve had opposite experience as yours: if I think of all the times I’ve been lied to, betrayed, ridiculed or disrespected in some way- it’s ALWAYS been at the hands of a Protestant!
Would you say the same thing to someone trying to break away from the Catholic church?“timidity” & fear of your mom’s opinions on your life decisions seem like poor reasons to fail to follow through on what your faith mind may be telling you
How do you interpret Matthew 25: 35 - 46 ?After reading through books like Ephesians and Galatians, I am convinced that they teach that a person is justified by faith alone.
Some people will say that a true church is a church which will lead them to heaven by their teachings and by the good example of their members, especially of their clergy.how do you define a true church
Thank you AINg for that response. I hope drac16 will be kind enough to share his interpretation of those verses with us.How do you interpret Matthew 25: 35 - 46 ?
It shows that faith must be active to be a saving faith. Works do not save, grace does, through faith, but faith must be as described in Matthew 25drac16:![]()

I think it’s saying that good works will necessarily follow once a person gets saved. Once you’re born again, those good works, like visiting the sick and so forth, will follow. Those good deeds are the result of a person’s salvation-- not that they are doing those things to get saved.drac16:![]()
