Greetings friardchips, may I ask from another prespective?

If your 14 year old daughter came home asking you questions which some JW put into her mind concerning her faith you surly would address them, correct? And when this daughter is 17 you probably would continue addressing these questions, correct? At 20 she states she is ready to join the JW organization, you would continue imploring her to reconsider, correct? At what point do you stop trying to address her misguided understandings? Is it at the point she is baptised a JW? What power does their baptism have that changes the situation? Seriously, at what point would you decide there is no use in continuing? How do you know when this point is that reasoning is lost?

Peace!!!
Hi. Because you were the other person I had discourse with over a few posts, I will just repeat to you also, that I feel I have given my opinion on this now, and if you look back over previous posts, my side of things is clarified with enough detail to answer this and other questions. I have left this thread now as I feel the argument has run its course and so has lost my interest. It is not my thread so I have no obligation to continue in it. Thanks.

If your not sure how to defend your Catholic Faith, then just tell them you are Catholic and not interested, they will do all they can to sway you in their direction by casting doubts!! Beware!!! Go on catholicanswers. com for more information. God Bless, Memaw
I used to talk with them when they visited regularly, they pass me by now and I have found out that if they strike resistance they are ordered to stop their visits to those they cannot handle , I brought up Revelation in which Jesus states that He is the Alpha and the Omega , words only God can say , and of course the J/W do not believe that Jesus is God

Yes we did discuss this from the understanding that the person we are closing the door on/ trying to discuss with is a known JW presupposing your position that they cannot/will not reason. I just thought it would be “resonable” to consider this position in the dynamic, being If this person at the door cannot reason, at what point in time did they become this person?

My next scenario in post 60 presupposes a known member of your family whom you understand to be of sound reason beginning to be misguided and, following your position, beginning to become unreasonable.

I don’t understand why you don’t want to engage in furthering the reasoning to p(name removed by moderator)oint this crutial point in time which could shed light on the situation and maybe help in the discussion. Isn’t this HOW reason works?🤷

Peace!!!
