You would be considered a Messianic Jew (or Completed Jew). WOW what a blessing.
Yes, many non-Jews would consider me as such. Most Jews who beleive in Jesus would as well. Non-Messianics (Such as those in my synagogue) Would disown me.

Welcome!

Feelings like yours should be taken seriously. Sounds to me like the Holy Spirit is knocking at your door!

:blessyou:
It’s funny you said that. The director of RCIA at the local Catholic church here told me the same thing, as did a Protestant friend of mine.

I would highly recommend an excellent book titled, ā€œSalvation is from the Jews.ā€ I don’t have the author’s name with me at the moment but it is a very good book.
A friend of mine recommended that book as well. I’ll look for it on Amazon. Thanks. šŸ™‚

Wecome! Glad to have you here! šŸ™‚

Here is a link to the Association of Hebrew Catholics. This is a group started by Rosalind Moss’ brother.

WOW! I had no idea that such a group existed! This website is awesome! Thank you for making me aware of this. Please keep me in your prayers as I’m trying to continue to figure all this out. Shalom! 😃

Hi everybody!

I have another question. Please help me. Does anyone know where I can obtain a list of all the New Testament passages that claim Jesus is the Messiah? I’m familiar with the TANAKH passages that prophesy about the coming of the Messiah, but I would like to read the New Testament passages as well, to see how they compare with the TANAKH. Any help anyone can give me would be appreciated.

Then the choice would be yours…who are you going to follow? The people at the synagogue or the Holy Spirit? That is the question you have to ask yourself.

God Bless You :gopray:

Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading the post on here for quite some time, and I just decided to register today. I’ve come across the term ā€œcafeteria Catholicā€ in alot of posts. Can someone please explain to me what this means? Forgive my ignorance, but I don’t know alot about the Catholic faith, I’m just starting to explore it in depth. Thanks.
Shalom Aleichem

A cafeteria Catholic is someone who, rather than following the teaching of the Faith, decides to not obey or believe this or that. For instance, they may decide not to refrain from going to weekly Divine Liturgy, or that they are going to use artifical birth control. These are both (failure to attend weekly Mass and use of artificial birth control) violations of the tenets of the Catholic Faith.

The Second Exodus website has an article which explains at length the parallels and fulfilments of the Old Testament that occured through Jesus Christ:

I ahven’t had time to read the article in its entirety, but I have skimmed it. I have to say, it’s strange to read Jesus using the word Halakha. I’m strating to think that the Catholic church is very friendly towards Jews. I ahd no idea. I was always taught that the Catholic church was anti-Semitic. I guess this is wrong?

A Protestant friend told me the same thing. She even called me the other night to tell me that she had woken up in the middle of the night to hear G-d speaking to her. She said that He told her I was a lost sheep in need of her prayers, and she immediately got down on her knees and prayed for me. Alot of Christians seem to be telling me things like this lately. Thank you for your prayers.

Rosaland Moss’ tapes are excellent. She ties her Jewish roots right into the Catholic faith. šŸ‘

The Catholic Church is about as far away from anti-Semitism as you can get. Just consider the incredible outpouring of support for Pope John Paul II from the Jewish peoples.

*This Rock *Magazine had an article a few issues back entitled ā€œAre the Gospels Anti-Semitic?ā€. It’s a pretty good read:

The founder, The Twelve Patriarchs, and the Seventy Desciples, were all Jewish. You expected something else?

May the Lord bless you.

Welciome Jew_Man_73. I am a member of the Association for Hebrew Catholics and can heartily recommend them. If at some point you felt called to the Catholic Church, I can tell you that you do not have to give up your Jewishness to be a member. One of the activities that the Association is working towards is a rite for Hebrew Catholics incorporating traditions close to the hearts of those came from Judaism. I see you are from North Carolina - is it hard to be Jewish in the heart of the Bible Belt.

Shalom

I actually visited a Catholic church this past week. Not sure why, but I cried. I’m not normally a crier.

You say you are a Jew. If you attend Temple often and theen go to a Catholic Mass you will see how similar they are. You’ll have to study some to find that there are similar prayers. After all Catholism grew out of The Jewish Religion.
