I’m nervous, but also excited about singing in the choir. I love to sing, so I’m sure this will end up being a good experience.
i pretty much think it will.

Everyone:

I would like to ask you all to please pray for me. My faith in Yeshua is very new. Now that I have seen the truth and accepted Him, I’m sure there will be trials and temptations ahead for me. Please pray that G-d will help me, strenghten me, and make me the person that He wants to be.

In Yeshua, I see the kind of person I want to be. Loving, kind, patient, forgiving. Please pray that G-d will help me become that person. Please pray that G-d will help me become the Christian that He wants me to be.

I’m definitely not perfect. I have a tendency to be overly critical and judgmental at times. I have a hot temper at times. I have a tendency to be pessimistic. I know I will stumble and sin. Please pray that with G-d’s help, I will do my best to avoid sin and shine the light of Yeshua to everyone I meet.

In fact, I had an argument with someone today, and I my attitude wasn’t very Christian. I’m going to apologize to this person. As my Protestant friends are very fond of saying, “G-d’s not finished with me yet.”

I would greatly apprecaite your prayers. I could use each and every one.
we’re still praying!!! don’t worry. http://bestsmileys.com/flowers/14.gif

LOL! 😃 Thank you for giving me a good laugh before retiring for the night! Good night!
you’re most welcome. good night, good night!!!

Of course, I will continue to :gopray: pray for you!! It would never occur to me to stop…This is such a wonderful thing, that you have found the Messiah of Israel. The very angels in Heaven must be :yup: rejoicing…
Do you remember, we all talked about the figure that St Paul uses, of the olive branches? Gentiles are wild olives who have been grafted in, but you, my dear friend, are one of the natural branches that have been grafted back into the the olive!
God bless you greatly, JM!!

Thank you! May G-d bless you greatly too! I know I’ve said this before, I find it to be an awesome honor that the Moshiach came from the Jewish people. That is an indescriable blessing! However, it’s also an awesome honor that this Moshiach came for all people, both Gentile and Jew! 🙂 By the way, isn’t there a verse in the New Testament somewhere that states that the angels in Heaven rejoice whenever someone accepts Yeshua as their Savior? Can anyone tell me where that verse is? The New Testament is still a little overwhleming to me right now, I wouldn’t know where to find it.

It’s ok, I understand. That’s what reference Bibles are for, I guess! 🙂

Hi everyone,
I was just thinking about something,a nd wanted to ask you all for your (name removed by moderator)ut. The parish where I attend has charismatic leanings. We have charismatic worship services from time to time, and we sing some contemporary, charismatic style music sometimes during Mass. Everyone on staff definitely believes in the charismatic movement. Do you think that’s why the priest believed me when I told him of my experience? Because they’re more charismatic-minded?

it’s possible:)

As was said, it’s possible. I would say that it’s not that likely, though. While we do have many skeptics in the Church, and no one is required to believe in such private revelations, anyone who knows anything about the Church knows that they do happen, and that most aren’t famous. It’s likely that most orthodox priests would have believed you were sincere, even if they doubted the authenticity of the actual vision. 🙂

Me, I can’t stand the charismatic movements for personal reasons, though I don’t doubt the sincerity of the people in it. I still believe you 100%, and have no reason to doubt, espescially given the affect it’s had on you.

Shalom aleichem!

Charismatic movement in the Catholic Church is a way of re-invigorating the faithful. I once belonged to a charismatic movement in the Philippines in my college days.

I was a cradle catholic who didn’t get to read the Bible until I was 22 years old. Not because I didn’t want to. My “conversion” came about before Pope John Paul II’s visit to the Philippines during the World Youth Day in 1995, thru a catholic charismatic movement. I began to attend Bible studies in my parish conducted by a charismatic group under the guidance of the diocese. I also listen to the program “Catholic Faith Defenders” in Cebu, Philippines, mostly comprised of lay people who were out to defend the faith on air (thru radio programs) against the numerous attacks of different sects, especially Protestants, straight from the Sacred Scriptures.

Again, as long as charismatic leaders or movements doesn’t water down the Catholic faith it is okay. And by the way, the charimatic movement I attended were centered in the Eucharist.
