But does it make it right in God’s Eyes to supply them? The martyrs weren’t killed because they went along with the so called “laws” of the world.

Take the beam out of your eye before trying to remove the speck from your brother’s. They are words of caution. You better be sure someone is committing a sin and that you are not in danger yourself.

Because someone is gay doesn’t mean they are sinning. One can be gay and free from sin if they dont act on their feelings. Two gay women or men can live together and refrain from any acts that would cause them to sin.

So now you’ve refused to sell someone something as miniscule as a robe because you assumed they are sinners. Selling someone a robe is hardly the same as giving someone money for an abortion.

17 Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, commits sin. James 4

If you believe it is wrong for you to provide retail services to persons who do not espouse your value system, then you should refrain from doing so, because if you did, it would be a sin for you. If you are sued, found guilty, and have to give up your business in order to pay for the attorney fees, court fees, and the fine for breaking the law, then this is God will bless you for your obedience.

On the contrary, if you believe that it is not right for you to expect everyone in the world to adhere to your values, and you discriminate against those who do not, God will bless you for doing what you believe is right.

I still don’t know what you mean by “supply them”. I got on this thread because I thought it was going to be about a family member, but you are talking about doing business.

The earliest martyrs of the Church were killed because they did not comply with the mandatory worship of Pagan gods, and were thought to be atheists.

So let me get this straight (so I’m on the same page as your thinking).
You cannot claim anyone else is in mortal sin.

For a sin to be mortal, one must know the serious nature of the sin…one must be completely free to choose…and must freely do it.

Only one of these you can be certain of.
The other two conditions you cannot know with certainty.

Christ instructed His Church (of which we are a part) to preach the Gospel. That is different than going around pointing out their sins to other people (which Christ also spoke about, saying not to do it unless we were ourselves perfect. The famous splinter vs log in the eye.)

Good news is that Christ loves each person, that He became man in order to save us.

If you saw someone about to commit murder, steal a car, sexually assault someone.
These are crimes.

In the US and most developed countries, calling another woman your wife and having pet names for each other, even living as lesbian married people, is not against the civil law.
He also said if you see your brother doing wrong, correct him. If that doesn’t work, get other friends involved. If that doesn’t work, go to the Church and ask her to step in.
This is how we are to deal with the fellow Christians whom we know, not with strangers who are patronizing our store. Where did Christ command merchants or craftspersons to screen their customers and only do business with the sin-free?

AMEN @Tony5522 ! I can say for sure, it would take a ton of lumber removal experts to get me completely log free.

You keep responding as if I’m walking up to strangers and demanding to know they’re sins in order to to blast them with the truth. You have forgotten that in the very beginning I was talking about customers that come directly to me to fulfill their orders. Let me explain exactly my situation. I work in the wedding industry (and anymore, I’m believing that I need to get out of it), I recieve orders from hundreds of customers a week, and every now and then, I get some from, in fact, homosexual couples. Trust me, when I recieve two bridal robes, both saying “bride” or “groom” on them (and a quick check reading the customers messages) confirm who they’re intended for. To me, to fulfill such orders goes directly against everything in me and everything against who Christ is. Also it DOES directly affect me and the state of my soul. I cannot, nor WILL NOT complete such orders. Now, the business is not mine, so the owner has someone else complete these orders - this is completely their choice to make, though I wish they would refuse these orders in order to witness for Christ and stand up for Him (no one ever said true Catholicism was easy). Here’s another thing about when it comes to keeping silent over the above scenerio/fulfilling the order myself: in doing so, I would be associating myself with this sin (yes, it is a sin, whether the couple knows it or not, because as a Catholic, I KNOW it to be wrong because Christ HIMSELF said it to be so), and therefore I would be doing wrong. Doesn’t matter if it’s for business or not. Wrong. Is. Wrong. I had a very holy and devout priest (FSSP) tell me not to complete such orders and that was enough for me.

Now I know this thread was suppose to be on Christmas gifts and whether or not you should provide such gifts to homosexual couples (and by that, I mean specific gifts implying they’re a couple by personalizing them with pet names or they’re “marriage” status, i.e. two “wifes” or “husbands”), but this got blown way out of control. I’m ending this now, mostly because I can’t seem to agree with most of you and I feel this is getting very uncharitable and heated. It’s Sunday, and I’d rather not argue on the Lord’s Day (I’d rather not argue at all, but, what are you gonna do).
God bless!
