Oh sure! I agree with you!I believe there are always allowances for worshipers’ abilities. Elderly have a difficult time kneeling and rising. Some are physically challenged and confined to wheelchairs. I’ve seen Eastern Rite worshipers standing while the rest of us kneel. Our posture in prayer and worship should be uniform but I don’t believe anyone can FORCE you to sit, stand, or kneel if you so feel the Spirit moving you to do so.![]()
Now I appreciated the explanation why we would be uniform in our posture cause it was not a question of being " tidy" only but of " community" . Made a lot of sense to me .
