what is the most commonly used title for the church following the second vatican council?
 
We have lots of titles…but we are also known as the Body of Christ.
He is the head…we are the body. We cannot exist without him.
We are also known as one holy catholic and apostolic church.

Just read the Nicene Creed and you will get in a nutshell everything we believe in.

Nothing in this regard has changed since Vatican II. The Catholic Church is still most commonly called “The Church,” though sometimes the “Catholic Church” (or even the “Roman Catholic Church,” though technically this is not proper) to distinguish Herself from other Christian groups. When referred to in the second-person pronoun, the Church is always female, uppercased (She, Her - never “it”).

There are LOTS of other terms, but none are (or ever have been) nearly as common as simply “the Church.”
 
As the OP does not specify his religion I suspect his question is a trick question!

I also suspected the same (and I also factored-in the fact that this was the OP’s first post in this forum). But I am perfectly willing to provide the orthodox answer to any question (‘trick’ or otherwise). If it is NOT a trick, then I have provided a service. If it IS a trick, let the OP spring the trap - the Church is ready.

If it is a “trick,” then the OP is wasting effort on subterfuge. Simply accuse the Church of whatever s/he wishes. This is an *apologetical *forum - it is not necessary to disguise attacks upon the Church - we’re used to it (and it is perfectly OK here).
