Okay I have two questions about my wedding? and did not know where to post this so I decided on here.
First: is it okay to have a non-catholic friend to do one of the readings?
But the second is a bit more complex.
My dad (who technically is my uncle but he has been my dad since I was 2, adopted me and everything) is a priest. And I am really torn about either having him as my dad on the day, doing dad like things and worrying and basically being moth father and mother of the bride.Or we have him marry us which I guess is more symbolic and stuff but he would be on priestly duties before the wedding and stuff and wont be there while I’m getting ready and things.
He has said he doesn’t mind and I know who we would ask if we decided that he would just be dad on the day. Future-husband-man doesn’t mind. (either way he is getting a priest for a FIL
)
Does anyone have any thoughts?
