**Please be kind as I’m new to this Mass. We have gone about a dozen times and our DD received her First Holy Eucharist there yesterday, it was truly beautiful!
So the guests that came to the Mass (that we invited) were very unreceptive to it all. They complained about everythign and anything that they could. I am new to all this so I’m still in the process of learning it all myself. It’s hard for me to answer some of their negative statements because I don’t have all the answers. So if anyone could help me out I’d greatly appreciate it:

I am new to all this so I’m still in the process of learning it all myself. It’s hard for me to answer some of their negative statements because I don’t have all the answers. So if anyone could help me out I’d greatly appreciate it:
- Confession during the Mass: They complained that it was a ‘distraction’ and that why was it being done? I was there, I didn’t find it distracting BECAUSE they were quiet, not talking in line and there was around at least 2 ft between each person. Most of them were reading their missals. For part of the MAss, I needed to nurse the baby so I went to the back, near where the line was and really there wasn’t any movements, noises , etc. coming from the confession line. But what is the reason that it’s offered, and for most of the Mass?
- Bowing to the priest in the procession and exit: I would guess that A) we aren’t bowing toe the priest and B) we are bowing to the crucifix that is being carried by the altar servers. What you say? They said they felt like ‘the priest was being worshipped and the alt boys were his ‘minions’ and they kissed his ring and lifted his vestments during the Mass’’’ So, why do they lift up the vestments during the EUcharistic prayer and why do they kiss his ring?? I need to know so I can ‘teach’ them.
