When I was young and foolish the Ouija Board, was marketed as a game. One of the ‘racier’ girls in our 7th grade Catholic-school crowd had bought one against her parents’ wishes. At a party one night she pulled it out and we all read the instructions and tried to use it. Unbeknownst to any of us, the Dad in the house had spotted her trying to smuggle the box into the house and had hooked up this huge hose he used to vacum the pool so that it went from the window of the livingroom to the back bedroom. So there we are, not trying to conjure up a spirit but following the directions and asking the stupid board questions (Does Tommy like me? Will I get married someday?) Someone asked something like, “Will I grow up to be famous?” and from the window we hear an eerie voice intone “NOT UNLESS YOU PUT THAT STUPID BOARD GAME AWAY AND STOP FOOLING AROUND WITH THE FUTURE!”Scott has it right. I realize that they are bad and I should stay away from them, but would like to hear of some peoples’ experience with them. But if no one feels like it, then okay. Thanks for answering my question though, everyone. THey are dangerous and I will stay away from them.
Needless to say that was the last time this group of young, foolish Catholic 7th Graders tried to predict the future…
