maybe reflect a bit on their attitude and then return
The consistent theme in this thread is that people get frustrated with your attitude. Maybe consider that you are the one that needs to evaluate how you act.
Some people behave like this towards other on CAF - showing no respect for others - because they are behind a computer.
Trust me, if we were all sitting in a room together, this conversation would have ended long ago. People don’t generally tolerate someone who just strings them along for a while as you have here.

INCORRECT.

The Church does not teach that the beginning is at Pentecost and because of the tone of your posts I do not recognise your participation and therefore neither I am interested in your answer.

There is someone else whom I think has the answer and will await their response.
Honestly, this has dragged on too long. It’s time for the answer, if you have one.

But I’m used to the bogus “lateral thinking” riddles in which the OP dismisses everything (even though the topic is open enough to have multiple valid answers) and then promises to tell us the answer after he’s showered (that excuse is basically a meme) and then never returns.

Wes, his answer is the Immaculate Conception, but he has decided that he won’t defend or discuss it until the other person who said Immaculate Conception comes back with documentation to support her answer.

I have been disqualified because he doesn’t like my tone. 🙂

It will be over soon. And everyone can go and play Pokemon.

This whole thing is a patience-testing ploy isn’t it.
do you work for CA?

I may be the other person. Not sure. But I have to put my Christmas lights now.
Here is what I am doing. I have a 14’ skiff (boat). I am highlighting it in white lights (silhouette) . At the bow I am using PVC pipe to make a cross (wrpped red lights around the PVC tubing) which will be Christ over looking the boat. I have multicolored net (about 6’ X 4" or so) lighting that is to be a net, cast over the side for fish.

Get it, fishers of men. Hope it looks good.

Here is my only shot at a document, and it is from the Catechism.

494 . . . As St. Irenaeus says, “Being obedient she became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race.” Hence not a few of the early Fathers gladly assert. . .: “The knot of Eve’s disobedience was untied by Mary’s obedience: what the virgin Eve bound through her disbelief, Mary loosened by her faith.” Comparing her with Eve, they call Mary “the Mother of the living” and frequently claim: “Death through Eve, life through Mary.”

Insightful response. Although this understanding was broken at that time as they had to leave Eden. But the mystical line of thinking could get you there to the answer.

What an excellent idea! Very creative.

So If it is me, and I am wrong, please don’e wait on me. I will revist the thread later to see who get this right.
Again, friardchips, thanks, this was fun.

A very fine addition to the thread, thank you, for this citation from writings of St. Irenaeus. Not the one I was thinking but still almost there.

You are welcome.

Thank you for your insights and YOU ARE RIGHT!

However, the document is still to be found.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I admit that the quiz concept might have been misplaced - I wanted to make sure people posted. I also think it is an important point of faith and so the more people involved, the more people would think about it, as very often threads get forgotten. It was a statement of faith (as said before).

Just to be clear, you think the answer is the conception of Mary? Can you please explain your reasoning?

The answer is indeed The Immaculate Conception. The document to be provided is on the internet but was hoping someone else might find it.

Apparently not until someone else first provides the specific document (probably with paragraph reference too)
