Actually the only mistake the Vatican made was to entrust a group called the ICEL to set their own agenda. The Vatican has always had “for many” in its promulgated Masses. It’s unfortunate that it allowed the ICEL to create doubts surrounding the validity of its “for all” Consecration. It really wasn’t necessary. The ICEL should have been disbanded a long time ago.So why are they going to change it?
As far as commenting on Quo Primum binding, I wonder what the reaction would have been if today M.P. had tried to abrogate the promulgation of the 1970 Rite.
