GWTW: “I won’t think about that now, I’ll think about it tomorrow. After all, tomorrow IS another day” by Scarlett
The line speaks of unending hope.
Maybe the first time Scarlett says it, but at the end of the movie it simply speaks of self-delusion and denial of reality. Somehow I don’t think Rhett’s going to go back to her.

Coming to America:

Clarence: Oh there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin 'bout boxing, a white man got to pull Rocky Marciano out their a*$. That’s their one, that’s their one. Rocky Marciano. Rocky Marciano. Let me tell you something once and for all. Rocky Marciano was good, but compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain’t s#%t.

George: Now you listen to me, I don’t want any plastics, I don’t want any ground floor and I don’t want to get married to anyone, I want to do what I want to do…(oh Mary)

Mary: Oh, George, George! :love::bighanky:

It’s a Wonderful Life

light up the darkness- I am Legend

people shouldn’t be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people- V for Vendetta

the Lord of the Rings

Ok when my girls were little, every time the would eat noodles they would say " slimy, yet satisfying"
Lion King

I have two favourite moments.

Hagrid: “Yer a wizard, Harry.” Harry: “I’m…I’m a what?”

And…

Clairee: “M’Lynn, you just missed the chance of a lifetime! Half o’ Chiquapin Parish’d give their eye teeth to take a whack at Ouiser!”

I am a die hard John Wayne Fan so:

Well a gun that ain’t loaded and cocked ain’t good for nothin!- True Grit

If I had a big ol’ hoss pistol like that I wouldn’t be scared of no booger man!- True Grit

And my favorite by the Duke:
Courage is being scared to death… and saddling up anyway.

Olive’s talent performance in the movie “Little Miss Sunshine”.

It is an INCREDIBLE commentary on the whole business of beauty pageants (especially for little girls) and it was wonderful how the entire family came together and got onstage to defend and support Olive.

“You keep saying that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.”

Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Frodo: “I wish the Ring had never come to me.”
Gandalf: “So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”
…that and Aragorn’s epic speech in front of the Black Gate. Those movies are AWESOME.

And an honorable mention:
“You’re really gonna wear that?”
“It’s a SATCHEL. Indiana Jones wears one.”

Oh and that scene at (near?) the end of Cast Away, where he’s standing next to his car on the side of the empty road. I don’t know why, but something about that scene is just amazing 😃

We love the Stargate series. They did a few straight to DVD movies to tie up the loose ends of the original series following season 10. One of these was “Ark of Truth”. In it Teal’c, a former bad guy talks to another former bad guy, Tomin about forgiving oneself for having committed atrocities against the innocent. It’s a lovely moment between the two characters and one of the best discussions about hope and reparation I’ve ever heard in any film. Fellow Stargate fans will know the scene I’m talking about. I only wish I could quote it, but I can’t recall the whole thing and it’s not available online.

Now that you bring it up…That movie had a number of good lines.

Inigo Montoya: Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Buttercup: We’ll never survive.
Westley: Nonsense. You’re only saying that because no one ever has.

Miracle Max: Have fun stormin’ da castle.
Valerie: Think it’ll work?
Miracle Max: It would take a miracle.

Miracle Max: Don’t rush me. You rush a miracle man, you get rotten miracles.

Peace
James

“A day may come when the courage of men fail…but that is not this day…this day we fight!!!”- Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings.

Also I just realized that one of the quotes I mentioned was actually in the first post. My bad 😃

And that Red vs. Blue clip made my day. “Hang up? No s***, I was just gonna keep talking until he decided to check his messages.” haha which episode was that?
