No. It cannot. Black magic is the invoking of Satan to do with will of the caster. If you know anything about Satan, you know that his deals are very one-sided no matter how you try to work it. You may try to get him to do something for you, and all that will happen is you will lose your soul

Can yo quote me a reference to the church’s teaching please?

I know that magic can result in demonic possession of another party which will result in a lot of other stuff so i’d appreciate it if you give me some link .
 
CCC 2115–2117 states that all magic is against the Will of God and is evil, but I cannot find a specific link saying that the Church teaches anything about the power of magic.

I know that much of what is done to cast spells is just junk with no real power. Some does have true demonic power behind it, but still. I cannot accept this type of thing as being possible.

i realized that most of the posters made a joke out of the idea per se and no one paused to ask if this could happen. I find it rather strange that no one adressed the possibility of such a thing, regardless of who those concerned are.

Let’s say that it could happen. Why have more people not been killed like this? It is easy and leaves no trace of anything. It would be the assassin’s dream.

Perhaps only a handful of people know how to do it. Ok, but still, there would be other cases, other stories.

Humans like killing each other too much for this not to be more common if it was real

yes but just because we are not aware of something, it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Those who practice such things do not go parade the streets. What if someone is demon-possessed and commits suicide or kills somebody? can we really dismiss such possiblities ?So at least this topic must be given due credit, regardless of “Jewish conspiracy theories” or whoever else might be involved in this or anaother incident because reading some replies gives the impression that the belief in the evil power is simply dismissed. Now am not someone who is haunted by such topics but at least the idea per se must not be dismissed as a joke unless there is a proof that this cannot happen.

I do not disagree that there is REAL evil in this world, spiritual forces that can effect our lives. I would not discount something supernatural just because it is not “normal.”

In this case, though, the fact that it involves Israel and Muslims throws up a red flag. If there were Jewish religious figures who could do this, why are there any visible enemies of Israel? Why not kill them off one by one, until you get some in who are more moderate?

Why would it be posted by Muslims? Why would the website be called the Jewish word used instead of God lest someone offend Him? No, there are too many wholes in the story.

If the story had been told by western press, I might have a little different take on it.

Because we know it’s a conspiracy theory in league with the ‘Jews caused 911’, ‘Jews control the mass media’, ‘Jews manipulate world financial markets to bring Western Civilization to its feet’, ‘Jews killed Jesus and all their descendants are a curse on humanity now and forever’.:rolleyes:

i believe in the existence of evil. It is open to discussion what evil can or cannot do so if there is any proof that these things cannot happen, i’ll be more than happy to know it.

Middleman and Ralph, i understand your point that is why i tackled the subject per se, regardless of who is involved.

I take these things on a case by case basis. In this case, it could not be true, so it is not.

this isn’t supposed to be a challenge but rather another way to tackle the topic at hand. Can black magic kill or can it not?If there is proof that it cannot, i’d like to know it; if there isn’t, then it is a possibility that is why i said i find it strange that this topic turned into a joke. Maybe others have info i don’t have.
