Genetic variation does exist, but it does not make for discrete “races”. Such divisions are cultural constructions.Genetic variance was put in humans as well as everything else livng for the pourpose making it so a spiecies can’t be wiped out by a micro organism, such as a virus or a bacteria.
I think it reasonable to take genetic variation into account when delivering medical care, but ideally should be based on an individual’s actual genetic makeup and not not on a crude generalization about skin color or ancestral homeland.
