So what passages of scripture has she used so far?

something about black birds and red birds do not mixs or somthing like that

It would be helpful if we had the precise scriptural passage. In either case, it’s NOT immoral for interracial marriages. Your daughter is fine to date or marry a many of any race. If they don’t have a problem with it, your wife shouldn’t either.

Exactly WHY are they interested in one another?

The novelty (or shock value) of it? (You’d probably be shocked at the number of times this is the case…)

Before offering any sort of opinion, more, much more, information is needed…

Interfaith marriages are more of a problem, so ask her what she thinks of those. Well, better not. 😉

I used this example on my School Bus, as I got sick and tired of the fights between kids due to “skin color”. I told the kids, close your eyes. Now pretend that God made everyone without eyes. How would you know the color of someones skin? I then went on to ask the kids, Why does anyone care about the color of someones skin. Why doesn’t it bother anyone about the color of someones “Hair or eyes.”

I then asked all the Causin kids on my bus, Why is it every summer everyone wants a tan? Why do you want to change the color of your skin? Their answer, because a tan looks good. My next question was, then what your telling me is that you like the color of the Mexicans skin. They thought about it, then put their heads down, because what I said was true.

In our school district we have a lot of Migrating Families, who are good people, hard workers, and yes just happen to be Mexicans. Sometimes kids can be mean, (a learned behavor).

In our family over half of my Grandchildren are of mixed race. 8 of our 13 Grandchildren are half Mexican and half Causin. (with Indian)

I myself am part Indian. I can remember growing up when being somewhat Indian wasn’t cool, and with a last name of Morningstar, it was a dead give away that I had Indian in me. In todays world it doesn’t matter that I am part Indian, but it wasn’t always so.

The color of ones skin shouldn’t matter anymore than ones eyes or hair. Ask your wife the question I asked the kids on my school bus.

I’ve never met a native american before, it would be cool to! Native american women are so pretty too 😃

Genesis 1:27- “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them”

Galatians 3:28- " There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

Colossians 3:11- “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.”

James 2:9- “But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.”

We are all descended from Adam and Eve. We still have the same skin pigmentation, just different amounts of it.

I’m so multiracial I have no idea what to put on forms that ask for race. “Human” or “multiracial” are my only options. Dating outside my race? Every date I’ve ever had has been outside my race. Outside of my own family, I’ve never met anyone else of the same mix. If interracial dating were wrong, I’d be doomed to perpetual celibacy!

I am strictly of European (Caucasian) heritage. My heritage is German, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh. Most of the guys I have ever dated were at least part Native American. However, they did all look totally Caucasian. There are a lot of people who are part Native American in my area. I’m not sure why but I have absolutely no problem with it. I also see absolutely nothing wrong with dating people of another race/ethnicity. That said, I am personally attracted to people of Hispanic heritage. I am not entirely sure why this is but I think it’s partly because I love Mexican culture and I also love the color of their skin as well. However, I have never dated a Mexican, Mexican-American, or any Hispanic for that matter. But yeah, there is absolutely nothing wrong with dating someone who is not the same race or ethnicity as you.

To the OP,

I hope all these posting here will help your wife to see that “race” shouldn’t be the issue, with whom your daughter is dating.

Each “race” and “mixed races” all have good and bad people in them. Each person should be gotten to be known for “what kind of person they are”, not judged on the color of their skin.

Skin color can be very misleading to determine if someone is this or that “race”. For example, my son in law has a spainyard/mexican background, his skin is very very dark, to where one Would think he is a black man. (we had thought he was a black man for years)

Yet and here is the shocker…it’s all a Dark Tan. He works outside in Texas, year round as a construction worker. One day while we were at my son in laws and daughters house, he had on a tank top. I was shocked to see he was White. I had only seen him in long shorts, knee length, long jeans and t-shirts, never a tank top.

For 5 years I thought this man had black skin. I had truely thought he was African American for 5 years. It wasn’t until this year on Easter Day, after Mass, when we went back to their house for a cook out, that I found out his true background. This man is Father to 2 of our 13 Grandchildren, who one of them has a whiteish cream skin and the other one has a dark tan color skin, not that any of this matters, because we don’t look at color of skin to judge a person by. But can you imagian what a shock it was to see, my black (or so I thought) son in law really had white skin? Of course then I asked questions about his background, only because I was currious, not that it really mattered. Because, I love my son in law, because of who he is, not the color of his skin.

To any other person who sees my son in law, in the store, gas station, or where ever, no doubt they will see his skin/race as black. Does it really matter? Heavens no…he is a good loving husband and father. Our daughter is happy and treated very well. The color, of his skin, isn’t who made him who he is.

I would like to thank you all for the advise I receved, this will help I hope for my wife to see that color does not matter. Thanks again.

There is no such thing as race.

I agree with your wife - but in today’s world where people do whatever they “feel” like it’s certainly not unheard of. To each their own in the end. I personally though married in my own race and never wanted to nor have dated outside of it. I have no attraction to a black girl in other words. Just none at all. It’s a different culture and different thinking etc. It’s more than skin color - it’s the way the culture is. I am American - with Irish and Polish ancestors.

Tell me if God meant for races to mix why at Babel did he separate and make languages different so people would scatter? I don’t know if God has any pleasure or displeasure in mixing of races and I certainly am not about to be brazen enough to say I know. I don’t. I just know instinctively that for me it is wrong. Kids resulting from mixed races have it tougher in MOST areas growing up - unless your in a city in today’s world where it seems everything and anything goes.
I have no problem with working with, being neighbors with and having neighborly love to a person of a different race but sexually I just personally would never do it. Then again I don’t see dogs having sex with cats either because they know instinctively it’s not natural. Say what you will about me - I honestly care less. I at least speak the truth on what I feel and in today’s world where complete liberalism seems to be golden it’s abnormal for someone to speak what they feel is right when it goes against the liberal grain. I cannot stomach it anymore. From this same liberal thoughts come abortion and all other types of immoral thoughts, actions and life-styles. To consent on what you believe to be wrong is the same as doing the wrong action. IMO mixing races sexually is wrong.
If it was my kid doing it I wouldn’t disown him/her but I certainly wouldn’t help it in any way, shape, or form. It isn’t normal. Then again - it’s none of my business what someone else does that isn’t my own blood. I know my own kids would have no interest in dating anyone other than their own color.

My golden retriever tries to mate with my wife’s cat every night…the cat comes back for more.🤷

To be honest I’d rather my daughters date/marry black/mexican/chinese/indian/etc. Catholic, than a white athiest/protestant/muslim/budhist/etc. I personally see more problems in interfaith relationships than I do in interracial relationships. Skin color isn’t who you are, if people are serious about their faith, then their faith is who they are. Oh, I’m european/caucasian of all kinds.

I think there was reference in the OT to not marrying outside of the Jewish faith - Im not sure about not marrying outside your own race.

But check out Numbers 12:1-9.

Our Lord got pretty annoyed at Miriam and Aaron when they started slating Moses’ Ethiopian wife.

😃

FIrst if she and he love each other then God bless and let it go! You of course have to work into the conversation that of community bigotry. They may end up becoming buddies with other inter-racial couples. America has always had difficulties with private matters. My parents ,being Italian were treated with disdain but snce the hollywood crowd likes to depict Italians has gangster types its no wonder. The media does influence public opinion immensely. We babysit daily with our adopted granchild from Colombia and every so often we pick up wisecracks from the other kids insulting her in school. Marriage is challenging enough so they must realize the hurdles they face but if after much contemplation they wish to go for it…give em your blessings and hope for the best. I married an Irish-American gal and we are still married after all these years so it can be done!..Pas
