How should I respond? Whom do I report this to? I do not trust the archbishop. I most especially do not trust his chancellor, Mary Jo Tully.

On November 21, 2010 an organizing meeting of radical women – who are agitating for women’s ordination – have been given a place to gather: inside a Catholic parish!

I don’t understand, you don’t trust Archbishop Vlanzy? He is a good man who does not support women’s ordination, I think he has some ties to Mt. Angel Abbey, not exactly a hot-bed of liberalism. I see on their calendar, this group meets at the Episcopal, St. Francis of Assisi Church, I read in the St. Charles bulletin that they are in fact planning on hosting this group stcharlespdx.org/user/151OCT24.pdf

I would contact the Archbishop, if you haven’t contacted the priest of St. Charles Borromo yet. I don’t think ArchBp Vlanzy would be too friendly to that nonsense.

No, and the second link she provided says as much. So I don’t understand her distrust of the archbishop, either.

Organizers believe this is the right time to encourage public dialogue, to reassert the spirit of Vatican II, a 1960s council that proposed many changes in the church. Monsignor Charles Lienert, pastor of St. Andrew’s and a supporter of “One Spirit – One Call,” says “at least 50 years of grass root activity” led to the “wonderful renovations” of the second Vatican council.

This nonsense seems to be never ending. In the end, I’ll certainly keep these Catholics in my prayers.

If these women don’t like the policies of the Catholic Church they can move on. If they continue to publicly defy the Church the Church should help them move on through excommunications. Boycotting Sunday mass isn’t hurting the Church but it is potentially condemning these women to eternity in Hell.

Archbishop Vlazny was the man who confirmed me (albeit years and years ago). He is a good man and pretty conservative. He’ll deal with the problem I’m certain.
