Okay. Thanks for the CCC passage. I agree with what this says, but I too am an on and off again smoker. Usually the holiday times, ect. If a person is addicted to it, does that make a difference? Maybe I should inquire in moral theology?I’m not sure if it’s a mortal sin per se, but anyone who smokes is clearly ignoring this article in the CCC:
2288 Life and physical health are precious gifts entrusted to us by God. We must take reasonable care of them, taking into account the needs of others and the common good.
