No, you cannot go to Mecca to celebrate. But niether can any Muslim come into a Catholic parish and receive Holy Eucharist, or the Sacrament of Penance, etc. There are some aspects of just about every faith that are off limits to those who are not members of that faith community.

I believe this would be a fairer comparison:
Christians are not allowed inside the Grand Mosque.
Muslims are not allowed inside St. Peter’s (but in fact they are).
Christians are not allowed inside the cities of Mecca and Medina.
Muslims are not allowed inside the Vatican and Rome (but in fact they are; Muslims are not barred from any Western city on the basis of their religion).

May I suggest that if you really want to know about the muslim faith, you read the koran, not some mumbo jumbo website.Bosnian Muslim (and all other Muslims who have visited this thread),
I am sorry for the immature, ignorant, and in some cases outright offensive comments that have been made here and elsewhere on this site against your faith. This thread in particular should have only been about sharing holiday greetings with one another, but it of course got off topic quickly.
So to get things back on track a little I want to say to you and my other Muslim brothers and sisters Ramadan mubarek! May this time of fasting and prayer bring you closer to God and give you more patience when interacting with your Christian brothers and sisters.
Also, if any of my Christian brothers and sisters are sincere in their desire to learn more about Islam instead of simply giving in to false stereotypes and hateful mistrust, then I would highly recommend:

You’re confusing the two. Muslims are allowed in a Catholic Church. That’s the only comparison that is being made. The poster asked if he/she could visit the grand mosque in mecca, not partake in muslim sacred ritual.

Whereas we open our church and homes to everybody from any religion because we are all sons of God, we are all brothers and sister, and God open his arms always to everyone… He never reject anyone!

Ya know, Saturday 8/15, is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary in the Catholic Church (I believe dormition of Mary in the Holy Orthodox Church at some point), maybe we should go to a muslim site and wish everyone a blessed Assumption Day.

Muslims are just now beginning to feel some of the restrictions they have placed on Christians and Jews for centuries. And even these restrictions are very minor compared to the persecution that Christians and Jews face in muslim countries.

Muslims can go to any Christian church to pray or observe. Muslims can build mosques on Jewish and Christian sacred lands, as what happened in Jerusalem, Constantinople, all other Christian lands of conquest, and in the Eternal City where the Vatican is headquartered. The Catholic Church defends the Muslims.
You do not see Christians and Jews ever attacking Muslim sacred sites in Saudi Arabia or wanting to take over them. There have been some Muslim atrocities at their holy sites.
