Maybe we should all remember that the horrors of Nazi killing started with the Nazis accusing the Jews of being “Nazis” themselves.

Let’s review some of the standard Nazi claims about Jews:

1. Jews are secretly trying to undo German society (Exact same claim has been made repeatedly here about Muslims and the West)
2. Jews have secret forces at their disposal to do violence (Exact same claim is made here against Muslims)
3. Jews’ religion commands them to hate us and try to destroy us however they can (Exact same claim made here against Muslims)
4. All Jews are part of any bad doings any Jews engage in anywhere (Exact same claim made here against Muslims)

Looks to me like the real 1938 comparison here isn’t between Muslims and Hitler…it’s between the comments people are posting on this board about Islam and the comments Hitler used to make about Jews. Now that’s a rock solid comparison.

We’re not Nazis and I don’t think they are attempting to equate us to them.

I think they’re just putting forth the point that we should not lump every Muslim in the boat like the Nazis lumped every Jew in the boat.

I respect them for caring enough to stand up and say it’s not right to be prejudiced against a group of people because there are some who actually act out on what that religion teaches.

It is not self righteous to speak out against unfair treatment of others. It is a moral imperative. It is self righteous, I believe, to demean a people or a religon and to assume that you are better than someone else because their faith differs from yours. As I’ve said before, the fact that I feel the need to speak up about posts that attack muslims here doesn’t make me a defender of the Islamic faith. It is the continious, unrelenting venom that seems to be the staple of any posts that have anything to do with muslims which should be out of place here.

I’m not trying to equate anything with Nazis. But the posts here have a tendancy to dehumanize people. To rachet up the level of hatred to the degree that, should I believe what is being said, every muslim would be viewed as an animal bent on destroying everything I love. That kind of language is not acceptable. Because it’s goal is to desensitize me to the humanity of my Islamic neighbor.

Muslims ARE trying to subvert and destroy the West and admit.

Muslims DO use violence to achieve this goal.

Muslims ARE commanded to do so in the quran and hadith.

Muslims DO support this by their refusal to decisively protest or act against Islamic terrorism.

I’ll post the first one that comes to mind. There are many and one need only scroll up on the current thread or on a host of others.

When I asked what did the actions of the Indonsian militants have to do with the US COngressman, a poster responded:

You are free to disagree, but this seems to imply that all muslims think like animals who would behead christian children. Which in turn, seems to imply that the poster believes they are better than muslims.

The resident Muslim apologist does not care. Of course he knows that Muslim terrorists have vowed to destroy America. No Jews did that in the 1930s to Germany. Of course he knows that Muslim terrorists use violence, unless his memory is too short to remember 9-11-01.
