Test for conception, no, there is none, at least not directly. But a tests for ovulation ( for the Luteinizing hormone - LH, for example) are accurate. And if there has not been an ovulation, by defintion there can be no conception.On what planet can an omniscient doctor test for pregnancy within 72 hours of intercourse and determine that conception has or has not taken place?

If ovulation has occurred in the last 48 hours, then the doctor should proceed under the assumption that a conception HAS occurred.
