Can you provide a photo of when George Bush went to Notre Dame and the monogram being covered?
I don’t believe George Bush ever gave a speech at Notre Dame. Bob Jones University yes, but I can’t find photos of what the backdrop looked like.

BTW, Obama spoke at George Washington U. when the WH staff requested a simple back drop of just flags and no symbols or messages.
Says nothing of this being done previous for presidents
President’s and various politicians have desired back drops when they can.

Heck, John Ashcroft had a statue covered because it had bare breast.

George Bush did speak at Notre Dame. You said ‘all the presidents in modern times have done this.’ Who except Obama?

That’s was a commencement speech at a graduation, which the president’s staff doesn’t control the stage set up.

As far as others, all president’s in today’s video world, have a staff who view what will be on stage or behind him when he gives a speech. When they want it simple, as Obama’s staff requested, they just put up a back drop with American Flags.

This wasn’t anti-Jesus as conservatives try to spin.

BTW, remember the backdrop the Bush staff designed when he gave a speech at the shipping and receiving plant, JS Logistics, in St Louis where a banner behind him said, “Made in the USA?”

Problem was, the boxes in the background all said, “Made in China,” “Made In Taiwan.,” Etc.

They are basing the Electoral College projections on seriously flawed polls.

1.I am no believer in these, the electorate changed their mind in the last week stuff (turning a Carter landslide into a Reagan landslide; turning a Bush is doomed into a pretty comfortable victory in 2004). Fool me a dozen times, shame on you…
  1. Clinton was a pretty popular guy. He wouldn’t have been President if it weren’t for Perot. And with all due respect to Obama, he wishes he was nearly as good of a politician as Clinton was.
The electoral projections are off because if Obama has a lead, they’ll just call the state for him even if he leads 45-44. Even Rasmussen will do this.

Undecideds break against the incumbent dramatically and decisively, so really any state that Obama is below 50% in he is sure to lose.

In fact, the only places I see him winning by 15 or more are New York and DC and maybe, maybe Hawaii.

Clinton was a pragmatic politician and political class elite who was bent on political survival.

Obama is an ideologue. He surrounds himself with people like Gibbs, Plouffe and Axelrod.

Clinton had the humility to connect with Dick Morris and he immediately and sincerely admitted his party’s midterm losses at the 1995 State of the Union and I won’t forget that anytime soon. He knew he was in trouble.

Clinton may be a democrat, but he did grow up in the South and govern a conservative state and had enough awareness to see what was going on.

It would not surprise me at all if he votes for Romney in this election.

What Obama, who frankly is an amateur at this, doesn’t get is that people in DC get their way and goodies through bipartisanship, but I don’t mean the “let’s work together” nonsense that uncommitted “moderates” bleat about. I mean that there are at least 4% on either side who will vote for the other side hands down to protect their own interests and little bubbles.

That’s why even Sherrod Brown and Bernie Sanders couldn’t support Obama’s budget. They were around long enough to know that no incumbent is safe in this environment, something that is going right over Obama’s head. It could be his fault, or his advisers, or both.

Ok, there were 44 others on the list. Care to explain away some of these?

April 2009 Obama nominated three pro-abortion ambassadors to the Vatican ; of course, the pro-life Vatican rejected all three.

January 2012 – The Obama administration argues that the First Amendment provides no protection for churches and synagogues in hiring their pastors and rabbis.

October 19, 2010 – Obama begins deliberately omitting the phrase about “the Creator” when quoting the Declaration of Independence – an omission he has made on no less than seven occasions. (while reading from his beloved teleprompter) and remember how he read ‘corpseman’ off of the teleprompter? and how he planned to visit all 57 of the United States? oh boy, were those ever foreshadowings of last night’s debate debacle.

May 2009 – Obama declines to host services for the National Prayer Day (a day established by federal law) at the White House.

February 2011 – Obama directs the Justice Department to stop defending the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

February 2012 – The Army orders Catholic chaplains not to read a letter to parishioners that their archbishop asked them to read. (a violation of law)

etc etc
