I read that a few years ago; I’m just as glad that, unlike the women described in Reading Lolita, I don’t have to be escorted by a willing male relative in order to get to my reading group.

I’m just starting The New Science of Politics: An Introducton by Eric Voegelin.
I don’t know how willing that one woman’s younger brother was! So far it’s been a fascinating mix of literary discussion and a memoir of Iran amid revolution and war. I had no idea the Iran-Iraq war lasted eight years.

"A Song of Ice and Fire " (book 1) by George R.R. Martin

“The Duck Commander Family” by Willie & Korie Robertson

Driving with the Devil: Southern Moonshine, Detroit Wheels, and the Birth of NASCAR.

The Name of God is mercy, by Holy Father Francis. A big change for me since I usually read English mysteries.

I am reading We the Living by Ayn Rand. It takes in the Soviet Union during the time of Lenin. It is critical of communism and the idea that the state is more important than the individual.

Star Wars: Tales of the Bounty Hunters

A collection of short stories involving the bounty hunters seen in The Empire Strikes Back, including Boba Fett.

Feeling Good by David Burns

I think I might start The Life of the Beloved by Henri Nouwen.

I don’t know if you can call it reading exactly, but every morning (if I remember! 😊) I look at the day’s reading from Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I find it always inspirational. 🙂

The Faith of the Early Fathers, vol. 1 by Father William A. Jurgens. The footnotes are a blast! 🙂
