The Centurion’s Wife, a Christian fiction novel by Janette Oke!

With Christ’s Blessings,

I am reading several things, but most of the time I am reading:
  1. Journey to the Sun - Junipero Serra’s Dream and the Founding of Califonia (Gregory Orfalea)
    👍

Unplanned by Abby Johnson

It is honestly better than I expected from a book that is so mainstream. It is not very dense, but, probably no one, no matter what his or her opinions on abortion are, could finish this book and not be disturbed or surprised by something in it. Just when you think you’ve heard or read it all.

Star Wars Scoundrels and the first book of Ranger’s Apprentice. Yes, I am reading both of them at the same time.

Patience young one

Yes, but…

Currently reading The Melancholy of Resistance by Laszlo Krasznahorkai and Boswell: A Modern Comedy by Stanley Elkin. Both are very funny so far.
Melancholy of Resistance is a great book. So is the same author’s Satantango.

I plan on starting both The Death of WCW by R. D. Reynolds and Bryan Alvarez and Death on the Installment Plan by Louis-Ferdinand Celine soon.

*Wicked: Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (Wicked Years Book 1) Kindle Edition *by Gregory Maguire

I just finished The Great Debate, about the war of letters between Edmund Burk and Thomas Paine. Next up…Death Comes for the Archbishop.

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

Very funny if you enjoy British humor.

Picked up All the Light We Cannot See the other day. Set during WWII. The author’s writing style is beautiful, but so far the story’s moving a bit slow. 220 pages in and not quite half way through. I’m hoping there’s a great pay-off for all the build up. We’ll see.

I’m reading “Life in a Medieval City,” by Frances and Joseph Gies, who have written a series of well researched books on medieval life.
