You have to take into account of those who lack the ability to read.

How does one know the God? They heard the word of God from the Liturgy in the Ancient Christian Mass during the great persecution of Christians.

I am very realistic here. For those who can read the Bible great, but there are passages in the Bible I myself cannot understand and have to ask someone who is more trained in Scripture like a priest to guide me. I am like the Ethopian, who ask Philipp, “How can I understand it unless someone guides me?”

The Bible says “if you seek me you shall find me”. If someone is sincerely looking for truth God will lead him to a source that will allow him to understand the salvation message whether it is oral or written. The point is the Bible is the final authority on matters of faith because it explains the salvation message. Every book of the Bible has a salvation message in it (I don’t know if the apocrypha books do) and that is why it is the final authority so it doesn’t really matter if it is explained to someone orally if it is explained exactly as it is written in the Bible but you do need a source of authority to back up what is being told to an individual . It is like the US constitution which is a statute of laws that guarantee an individuals rights.

His WORD refers to Christ Himself.

The BIble is a manual of texts which under the guidance of Holy Spirit were compiled by said Church. They are not an end in themselves.

Salvation is through Christ.

The message is propagated through His Church which He founded 'to teach all Nations Mt 28:19. He gave His teachings by word of mouth not linguistic code.

Not everything He taught and did, are contained in the Bible.

The Church which He founded existed long before the bible. The Mass for example existed before the Bible was codified.
Therefore the Bible is not the complete teachings of Christ, only those which contained the writings that were codified Jn 21:25

First, let’s get this right from the start. We are saved by God’s grace, not by simply reading the bible. Still, what did Jesus tell us to do? To be both hearers and doers of the Word. We hear the Gospel by, among other things, reading the Bible and learning about God’s love. I firmly believe that if you had a tribe of people somewhere the Church had not yet arrived, who were somehow able to obtain copies of just the Bible, that these people have in their hands all that is materially sufficient for salvation. If they were to read and follow the Word set forth in the Scriptures, they would be saved even if a Catholic priest never set forth on their lands.

I doubt that my Brother, they would come up with all sorts of crazy ideas, mix with their own custom, and ways. After its all said and
done, the Protestants still get their basic structure from the Catholic Church.

The Bible cannot save anymore than the Catechism can. They both are books that are given to us by said Church.

We are saved SAVED SAVED by God’s grace.

To profess that we are saved by a book is surely to draw judgment to ones self. We are saved by Christ’s sacrifice on the cross which embodies God’s grace

That is actually against forum rules. We Catholics do not poke fun out of our Protestant and other brethren.

For Scripture says: ‘you will know them by their fruits’. If Christ’s Holy Church is something you hold for nothing better than ridicule, it begs the question why are you here!

She the Holy Catholic Church was robust 2000-years ago, she is as robust now, which is of course exactly what Christ promised
