After the ceremony, the women priests will have no parish and will make only one vow of “co-authority,” rather than obedience.
Emphasis mine.

It’s too bad that the honesty they display in not vowing obedience (while in the throes of open disobedience), they do not realize that obedience is the cardinal virtue by which everything else falls into place.

Thanks for posting that great article, Jayson. I’m glad to see there isn’t only one side of the story circulating out there.

I suppose this is why the group wants to do this in “international waters” so as to escape existing ecclesiastical jurisdictions. They can then deny Rome’s authority to excommunicate them.

But their public bid to be in “international waters” on the St. Lawrence is laughable.
Their public bid to be in international waters is irrelevant. They are in Cardinal Ouellet’s territory. I guess this is part of the International Ordination of Women Conference to be held in Cornwall which is on the St Lawrence River. The Catholic Church is universal. They cannot deny Rome’s authority to excommunicate them.

The caption for the photo Jayson posted should read “All dressed up and no where to go”!
