There is no sin in being friends with unbelievers. Witness to your friends by how you live your life. As St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” I’d only be concerned if your friends become a temptation for you to sin.Could you please tell me more about this? Like, I’m friends with unbelievers and despite our differences, I still hang out with them and they don’t mind me being Catholic. However, I rarely talk about religion with them, but my friends seem rather interested regardless. I just don’t know when to bring it up. Also, we play video games together as well, would doing this be promoting sin?
As far as video games go, here’s what 10 priests say about video games. Also, here’s what a Catholic Answers Apologist had to say about violent video games. You did not reference the content of the video games that you play, but regardless I would advise you to speak with a priest about this.
Since your friends seem interested in religion, I’d suggest purchasing a hard copy of the Catechism and familiarizing yourself with it. Then if your friends have questions about God, or the Church you’ll be prepared to answer them. Don’t be afraid to admit when you’re unsure about something, take the time to look up the answer and/or ask a knowledgeable priest.
God bless you
