Could you please tell me more about this? Like, I’m friends with unbelievers and despite our differences, I still hang out with them and they don’t mind me being Catholic. However, I rarely talk about religion with them, but my friends seem rather interested regardless. I just don’t know when to bring it up. Also, we play video games together as well, would doing this be promoting sin?

There is no sin in being friends with unbelievers. Witness to your friends by how you live your life. As St. Francis of Assisi said, “Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.” I’d only be concerned if your friends become a temptation for you to sin.

As far as video games go, here’s what 10 priests say about video games. Also, here’s what a Catholic Answers Apologist had to say about violent video games. You did not reference the content of the video games that you play, but regardless I would advise you to speak with a priest about this.

Since your friends seem interested in religion, I’d suggest purchasing a hard copy of the Catechism and familiarizing yourself with it. Then if your friends have questions about God, or the Church you’ll be prepared to answer them. Don’t be afraid to admit when you’re unsure about something, take the time to look up the answer and/or ask a knowledgeable priest.

The games we play could be considered violent I guess, one of them is CSGO which is a conflict between terrorists and counter-terrorists but no killings of innocent people like in GTA whatsoever. Also, they usually will not ask about religion unless I or someone else brings up the topic first. How do you think I should share my Catholic Faith with them without sounding like a ‘‘judgmental fanatic’’?

I suspect you normally don’t sound like a judgemental fanatic. If they label you that just because you are Catholic, then they are bigots and you should seek new friends who have more respect.

If you are asked to affirm something that you can’t, then you say you don’t agree with that. What is crucial is to show that there are reasons why you believe certain things, and that nothing in our faith is just random. The problem is that people seldom get into such deep conversation about our faith to actually get the explanation. But you might be surprised. Have that conversation if the opportunity arises.

If u are spiritual. And not just natural minded. Then a prophetic who’d is. Edification exportation and comfort. Bible says I know the plans I have for you etc.
