Our longtime parish priest, a humble man, was promoted to Monsignor in his old age. We celebrated greatly on the day he was … (is it elevated? promoted?).

He wore the red violet colored Biretta with matching … Sash (?) … large, wide “belt” and a cassock with similar colored buttons that day. He said …

“Take your pictures now, for you’ll never see me in them again!”
