Along the lines of the types of new ideas one sees in publications such as the NC Reporter and America Magazine, today in the Chicago Tribune i find this:
Belgian Catholics petition bishops to empower laymen

We have recently seen this same call in Austria, Australia and Germany. Ireland too. We have had many in the US Church making these same arguments.
Are we beginning to see the beginnings of another reformation?
Are we witnessing a coming schism of liberal minded Catholics at the same time that Anglicans who wish to return to conservative interpretations of belief are coming home to Rome?
What think you?
