Really?
Oh, so ANYBODY who wears purple or scarlet is the whore of Babylon?
Oops, 'scuse me a minute, while I clear my closet of my purple and scarlet shirts. Bummer: my scarlet shirt was a gift from my wife, and is a designer label, no-less. What a shame to simply throw it away because the whore of Babylon had a similar dress code.
OH NO!!! I gotta get rid of my white shirts as well??? That’s my “go-to” shirt anytime I don’t know what else to wear. It goes with almost everything (and most of my ties - do I have to get rid of my ties as well?)
Well, of course, I have to get rid of my white shirts AND my ties, because “somebody say in a website.” Because we all know that we can trust EVERYTHING that somebody say in a website.
Shocking!!! Can I wear green? (probably not - didn’t druids wear green? And brown? And khaki?)
I own an old tuxedo. It’s black (the color of Horus). I suppose I have to get rid of that as well (along with the white tux shirt that I have already tossed). It’s just as well - the tux doesn’t fit me anymore.
Oh well, I have to get rid of ALMOST my entire wardrobe, but, fortunately, I am a proud American, and I still have my blue-jeans and blue denim shirts. OH NO - that’s the color of the The Egyptian god Amun. According to
Wikipedia,
OK, so I toss my blue clothes. I don’t happen to own any orange clothes (perhaps the only “safe” color, but notably the color of - OH NO - prisoners). I am now naked, with no options.
So I suppose God wants us all to be naked. Right?
Well, feel free to show up at your local protestant church completely naked. Let us know how that works out for you.
