So I looked at it.

The pope Gregory quote confused me. I don’t really know. The other stuff, I just got a little confused. I know there is Catholic answers, but it takes a lot of time to read and understand it. So could someone at least summarize each and everyone for me? I don’t have enough time.
The Bible teaches the seventh day of the week is the
Sabbath of the Lord. Exodus 20:8-11
The Roman Catholic Church openly admits they substituted
the first day for the seventh, claiming the church has authority
from Christ to alter God’s law.

Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday.

Right.

If it’s important to do, OP, you need to make the time to do it. You can save at least some time by not reading anti-Catholic websites. That will free up your time for reading Catholic Answers instead.

The Bible teaches that we should call no religious leader
father. Matthew 23:9
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that we may call the
priests and pope “father.”

Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

1 Corinthians 4:15

Right.

Lol…if it wasn’t for anti-Catholic propaganda out there I would have never leaned the Catholic faith.

The Bible teaches to not pray in vain repetition.
Matthew 6:7
The Roman Catholic Church says to pray the Lord’s Prayer or
“Hail Mary’s” repetitiously.

Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17

To each his own. 😆 Some people can stomach it better than others. I try to stay away not because it shakes my faith but rather because it raises my blood pressure. 😝

The Bible teaches to confess your sins to God for only God
can forgive sin. Isaiah 43:25, Luke 5:24
The Roman Catholic Church says you must confess your sins
to the priest for forgiveness.

If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

John 20:23

Since you will be arguing with their ego instead of their intellect, you cannot win. The best refutation is to ignore them and pray that the Holy Spirit convicts them of their error.
This is probably the best advice in this thread. When I was Protestant no Catholic ever could have convinced me that they weren’t wrong about everything. It got to the point that I was having belligerent thoughts about Catholicism. Finally the Holy Spirit rebuked me and broke my pride. I felt ashamed of my thoughts and that I had to study it for myself. Upon close examination, studying Church history and critical thinking, Protestantism simply falls apart. Now I just pray for the conversion of all and ask God to break egos.

Preface. The Bible is a Catholic Book. The Catholic Church wrote the New Testament and approved all the books of the Old Testament.
The Bible teaches that we are not to bow down to statues.
Exodus 20:4, 5
The Bible actually says that we should not bow down to images and worship them.
But, in fact, gives examples of people bowing down before images without incurring punishment from God.

Exodus 33:10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

The “cloudy pillar” is an image of God. It is not God. Yet the people were allowed to worship this pillar.

Joshua 7:6 And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the Lord until the eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.

Joshua prostrated himself before the Ark. The Ark is not God. But it represents God.
The Roman Catholic Church says that we should bow down to statues.
The Catholic Church does not forbid our bowing before representations of God or His Saints. Nor does the Catholic Church forbid our bowing before representations of anyone that we honor, like Lincoln or Washington.

The Catholic Church does forbid our worshipping any idols.

2.The Bible teaches that all have sinned except Jesus.
Romans 3:10-12, Hebrews 4:15

Not true. The Bible Teaches that Jesus did not sin. BUT, the Bible says that some people have lived and died without ever committing sin.

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Mary was sinless.
That’s true. The Bible does not teach that Mary sinned. If you say that it does, provide the verse.
  1. The Bible says that Jesus is the only mediator between man
    and God. 1 Timothy 2:5
True. But it has to be understood in context of 1 Tim 2:1, which commands all men to be mediators.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
The Roman Catholic Church says Mary is co-mediator with Christ.
And recognizes that all Christians are co-mediators with Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

And also recognizes that Jesus is the reason and source of all our mediating. And that Mary, is the greatest example of Mediation amongst men, because she brought the Source of all grace into this world.
  1. The Bible teaches that Christ offered His sacrifice on the cross once and for all. Hebrews 7:27, 28; 10:10
True.
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that the priest sacrifices Christ on the altar at mass.
That’s sort of true, but is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the meaning of “sacrifice”.

Protestants define “sacrifice” as “kill”. But to Catholics, “sacrifice” means “offering”.

Genesis 14: 18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

5.The Bible teaches that all Christians are saints and priests.
Ephesians 1:1, 1 Peter 2:9

The Roman Catholic Church says that saints and priests are
special castes within the Christian community.
Not true.

There’s a ministerial priesthood, that’s your parish priest. And there’s the common priesthood of all who are baptized.

1268 The baptized have become …a holy priesthood." …

Likewise, all who are baptized become members of the Body of Christ and thus, Saints.

946 …“What is the Church if not the assembly of all the saints?” The communion of saints is the Church.
6.The Bible teaches that all Christians should know that they
have eternal life. 1 John 5:13
He forgot the “if” clause. All Christians should know they have eternal life, “if they keep the Commandments.” Notice what St. John says in 1 John 5:13. “These things I have written unto you that you may know…” Ok, what has he written. Go back to chapter 2.

1 John 2:3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments .
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that all Christians cannot
and should not know that they have eternal life.
The Catholic Church Teaches that, ultimately, God is our Judge and our own judgment doesn’t matter. Where have I seen that teaching?

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. 4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
  1. The Bible teaches the seventh day of the week is the
Sabbath of the Lord. Exodus 20:8-11
The Roman Catholic Church openly admits they substituted
the first day for the seventh, claiming the church has authority
from Christ to alter God’s law.
Yes, that’s true. Matt 16:18-19 says:

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

8.The Bible teaches that we should call no religious leader father. Matthew 23:9
Actually, that verse says that we may call NO ONE father.
The Roman Catholic Church teaches that we may call the priests and pope “father.”
Yes. St. Paul says:

1 Corinthians 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Notice that he is calling himself our father, through the gospel.
9.The Bible teaches to not pray in vain repetition. Matthew 6:7
True. We should not pray in “vain” repetitions.
The Roman Catholic Church says to pray the Lord’s Prayer or
“Hail Mary’s” repetitiously.
True. But not vainly.
  1. The Bible teaches to confess your sins to God for only God
can forgive sin. Isaiah 43:25, Luke 5:24
The Roman Catholic Church says you must confess your sins
to the priest for forgiveness.
Actually, the Bible says that the Church has the authority to remit and retain sins. How can she do that except through the Confessional?

John 20:23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
The teachings of purgatory, limbo,
Purgatory and limbo are basically the same thing. You can see the limbo of the Fathers described in Luke 16:19-31

Purgatory is described in 2 Cor 3:10-15
and prayers for the dead
Are seen most prominently in 2 Macc 12:38-46.
are also nowhere in Scripture but are clearly relics of paganism.
They are in Scripture, but they have to be understood in light of Sacred Tradition. Not by the so-called, Scripture alone.
The words of Jesus perfectly apply:

“ ‘And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men” (Mark 7:7, 8 NKJV).
That actually applies to Protestants. It is they who have discarded the Teachings (i.e. Traditions) of Jesus Christ and substituted their teachings.
Most people are surprised to learn that the first individual to identify the papal office as antichrist was a pope!..
He wrote,

“I confidently affirm that whoever calls himself universal bishop or desires to be so called is in his pride a fore runner of antichrist.”
Pope St. Gregory the Great did not mean himself or any other legitimate Pope. He meant anyone other than the Pope.

I hope that helps.

This is beyond rude. You want other people to put in their time and effort to compose answers because you “don’t have enough time”.

Stop seeking out anti-Catholic websites if you aren’t well grounded in your faith and are unwilling to becomes knowledgeable.

Don’t expect other people to take the time you are unwilling to take yourself.

UGH.

I agree to some degree, but I think there are some people who may like to refute anti-Catholic material, and are willing to put in their time for it. They may be interested in apologetics, and things like these give them practice. If there are people who don’t want to, they can just ignore this thread.

Also, other people (Catholics or other) may find the information in the replies useful to respond to objections like these.

What De_Maria said. It gets better (if you know what i mean) when you actually read the verses, which the .pdf file does not show, because some of them such as Matthew 23:9 refers to “father” as the father in heaven (aka God), if they had to show up the actual verses, they would not have much of an argument to present.

And even better is that this site does not provide any sources for the supposed non-biblical teachings of the RCC, like claim 6, claim 6 provides no source that the RCC denies eternal life, let alone the fact that its somehow being hidden by the RCC, extraodinary claims require extraodinary evidence, and this website lacks proper sourcing, let alone sourcing at all.

The thing which would make my day was if this website added a claim 11 saying that Catholics worship Mary, its the most classic cliché from fundamentalists which no one ever missed.
