The bidding only starts at 1 dollar, and then raises higher and higher as different people bid on it. One should never bid on a relic even if trying to save it because then others who are trying to save it may bid too, and then it results in paying a huge sum for a relic and simony. Also as a personal opinion I do not think the relic is authentic because the theca and wax seal are very clear and clean for a 2nd century saint. And the theca doesn’t seem to fit the style of other thecas at the time. Even the interior looks too neat. Even if somehow the Vatican took a small piece of bone or something from her tomb/shrine recently then it should come with a document, but it doesn’t. Either way, don’t bid on it for fear of commiting the sin of simony if it is real, and if not then don’t bid so you don’t have a fake relic.

God Bless!

Thats what I had in mind Benedikt, there would be no use in bidding on it since I have no proof that it is real for one thing. I had to say to myself just let it go like I did when I saw a first class relic of some saint that I don’t remember now being sold at an antique store!

Blessings!

Greetings Everyone, I am here to thank evryone and to let evryone know that I recieved a miracle through the help of Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph whom I have heard of through this thread.

My aunt had a stroke and was in the hospital for more than a week. when I heard she had a stroke I asked for Blessed Maria’s intercession. On the 19th my aunt complained of chest pains and the doctors said it was another stroke. They did some test and it came out terrible. They rushed her to another hospital where they did an examination procedure of the heart. The doctors were perplexed as there was nothing wrong. They said that it would be an understatement to call it a miracle. This day was Blessed Mother Teresa’s birthday! I also found out that my cousins and my aunt had been praying to the Sacred heart of Jesus, and Blessed Maria founded The Carmelites of the Divine Heart of Jesus!! I didn’t know about their prayer, and they didn’t know about mine. The doctors said she can go home the next day since there is nothing wrong anymore! They still can’t believe it and want her to come in again. My aunt says she feels great!

Benedikt - Thank you and God bless you for sharing this wonderful miraculous story with all of us may I please advise you to share your story with The Carmelite Daughters of the Divine Heart of Jesus perhaps your Auntie’s recovery is the answered Prayer and Miracle that will finally Canonize her a Saint and even if it doesn’t Benedikt please take this as a blessing and a grace from Our Heavenly Father who loves you and your family so much that he would send Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph to Pray and intercede for your Auntie.

Here is a song written by a Novitiate about the Foundress, Blessed Maria Teresa of St. Joseph

Does anyone know who I could write to to obtain a third-class relic of St. Philomena? If such a place exists, that is.

I am not sure of anywhere for free but maybe someone on here could point you in that direction. I know that if you just google “3rd class relic medal St. Philomena” you should find an answer where you would buy the medal and the relic would be a “gift” with it. Just make sure it is from a reputable Catholic website. You could also try and contact various shrines or churches that you know have a relic of her and ask them for assistance.

Blessings!

Finally, pope john paul II and pope john XXIII are going to be saints and the church is going to get about 5 more blesseds…THANKS BE TO GOD…

Hello fatherhood27,

What you should really do is to look on the multiple pages of this thread to find relics that other people have requested and contact people that way. It doesn’t work well on here to just ask for people to send you contacts for relics if you are not specific.

God bless!

I just want to know some of your contacts regarding obtaining relics. I all sended emails and letters to the links from the thread. can you help to obtain 1st class??

Which first class relics? Every first class relic I have obtained was through this thread. If there are any other first class relics you would like to obtain, please contact the postulator general of whatever order those saints are from.

Also, you don’t have to have first class relics-not even third class relics- to be devoted to a saint. Just their life and their intercession will get you far in life so that you don’t need to obtain parts of the saints body but just know that you can receive their intercession.

God bless!

Fatherhood, you should be specific. You can’t just ask for a relic of any saint or blessed. You should first have a devotion to a particular saint, otherwise, by simply asking for the relic of any saint, you will only end up as a collector of curiosities. Relics are precious.

But if you really are serious, it is best to know a saint and imbibe his or her virtues in one’s life so that we can become saints ourselves which could help edify other people’s lives.

Don’t lose heart. Pray and search for postulator addresses in the web. Write them but it is best that you won’t only state that you need it for catechism (because that’s a lame reason) but for something even deeper.

Peace be with you. 🙂

Thank you for your replies… first of all I want to apologize in my unspecific question, I just want to ask if you have email address of he postulation office of Bl. Francesco Pianzola cause this blessed is the 2nd patron of our newly constructed Oratory…

Thank you for your reply and God bless 🙂

Dearest CAF Members & Family, I sincerely apologize for abandoning this particular thread.

There are some reasons as to why I gave this particular thread a break – which I would rather not discuss.

I also wanted to thank all of you for your understanding, patience, and prayers that means a lot to me.

To all of you who have shared Devotional items and Contact information with me – I thank you from the very debts of my heart ← I chose not to name you publicly but I am sure you know who you are and God does too. Once again Thank you.

I have been truly blessed and grateful to God and those distributing the Devotional items in the months of April, May, June, and July (in no particular order)

Servant of God, Maria Isabel Gonzalez del Valle (Foundress of the Missionaries Rural Doctrine/Fundadora de las Misioneras de las Doctrinas Rurales)
