You’re welcome! I received the relic of Mother Teresa today too:)
I also requested a relic of Father McGivney.
fathermcgivney.org/mcg/index.html
This thread helped me to know great people
But let’s all remember that the Holy Eucharist is far more important than relics 🙂

Just wanted to say that I received my Blessed Mother Teresa relic and I promptly gave it to my mom who was just recently diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

I also want to bring to everyone’s attention that there are first class relics available of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos. The relic is free but the cost of the nuns putting together the relic in its casing (theca) costs about $27. This is the only first class relic that I have seen offered (if there are other ones I am not aware of it).

Here’s is the link to where you can get the relic of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos seelos.org/relics_info.html

They also offer 2nd class and 3rd class relics if you cannot afford $27 for the first class relic. The 2nd and 3rd class relics go for about $2.00

God bless

TempleoftheSoul- I am so sorry to hear the upsetting news about your mom recently being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Thank you very much for bringing to our attention about Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos.

I would like to know if anyone knows of receiving a third class relic of Fr. Augustine Tolton?

toltoncanonization.org/default.htm

frtoltonhs.com/thebuilding/

I know that relics are NOT for sale but if you can suggest please offer them a donation.

Also, take the time to Pray for their canonization(s).

Today, May.4th,2011, Wednesday I was honored and blessed to receive all of this wonderful information and a relic of Ven. Fr. Solanus Casey.

God bless,

I’m not too sure about the exact date but either May.5th, 2011, Thurs. or May.6th, 2011, Fri. I received a holy card with a small particle of Blessed Franciso and Blessed Jacinta Marto’s coffin and holy card with a small cloth of Servant of God Sr. Lucia of Fatima.

That is the attachments/photos with prayers

I emailed my prayer intentions along with requesting a relic from

I’m really honored and blessed to receive all of these wonderful relics they came at a time when I most needed them–you see last month and this month my (paternal) grandmother was dying sadly on Mother’s Day May.8th, 2011, Sun. at 11:30 p.m. she left us.

forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=556564

I’m not too sure if my previous post made any sense but what I meant to say was I know that relics are NOT for sale but please offer them a donation (if you can) since postage, shipping and handling does cost money. The donation(s) may benefit there community, order, monastery, etc. Also, keep in mind to Pray for their beatifications and canonizations.

God bless,

Sorry to hear about your Grandma…she will be in my prayers. :gopray:

God bless

I sure will!!!

God bless and have a blessed Holy Thursday 😃
God bless you as well I Pray that you and everyone here has a Most blessed and Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday.

I’m not too sure if this should go on another thread or not. However, on April.16th, 2011, Saturday- I requested a third class relic of St. Brother Andre. Now, I’m not too sure if it is a 2nd class relic or a 3rd class relic.

Yesterday, April.22nd, 2011, Thursday I received a letter from the St. Joseph’s Oratory with a pamphlet on a brief information on St. Brother Andre, a Holy/Religious prayer card of St. Brother Andre, and a relic which states it is “Particle of Cloth worn by Brother Andre, C.S.C.”

If you would like to request a relic please contact:

Did you recieve any confirmation at all? I contacted them a few days ago and I’m not sure if I should be waiting to recieve the prayer card or some sort of confirmation.

For the St. Brother Andre holy card and relic I didn’t receive a confirmation email but after Fr. Maio Lachapelle, c.s.c. sent me my the wonderful package of St. Brother Andre I emailed him a thank you letter.

I also sent out an email on behalf of my Auntie (since her home computer isn’t working) and Fr. Mario Lachapelle, c.s.c. sent her a confirmation email.

I know I can’t answer exactly for St. Joseph’s Oratory and Fr. Mario Lachapelle, c.s.c. or anyone but maybe they are taking longer because it’s being sent to a different country.

My suggestion is to be patient and just wait–but not only be patient and just wait–Pray.

Also, don’t be upset if you don’t receive anything at all like I suggested Pray.

Pray for their intercession.

Pray for their beatification or canonization.

This past month 2 weeks ago I received holy cards of the Martin Sisters along with a third class holy relic of St. Therese of Lisieux

martinsisters.org/

The holy prayer cards of the Martin sisters are laminated and have a Prayer on the back.

martinsisters.org/holy_cards.html

I also requested a holy prayer card of St. Gemma Galgani from this website

stgemmagalgani.com/

I received two holy prayer cards of St. Gemma Galgani this past week. The person wrote me back and stated that the holy prayer card was touched to a First class relic which makes it a Third Class relic

  • I do apologize if any of the following websites are not appropriate for CAF.*

Thank you so much. I recieved my Mother Teresa Relic today.
Also, thank you for the St. Therese relic post. She is my Grandmother’s Confirmation Saint. She will be glad to have her relic.

JDSS- I’m really glad to hear that you received the relic of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

jcian12- God bless you for sharing the website on Ven. Fr. Michael McGivney

fathermcgivney.org/en/index.html

July. 8th, 2011, Friday I was very pleased, honored, and blessed to receive a brief biography on Ven. Fr. Michael McGivney (actually received 2 of these one I will give to the Church), a helpful “updated” pamphlet on the Sacrament of Reconcilation as well as a relic that was touched to the body of Ven. Fr. Michael McGivney.

Does anybody know how or where you can receive a (third class) relic of St. Teresa of Jesus of the Andes?

Sanctuary of St. Teresa of Jesus of the Andes

santuarioteresadelosandes.cl/new/index.php

If you do not receive a relic or the place you are requesting a relic from says “No” than do not be discouraged or lose faith.

Pray
  • for their beatifications and canonizations & ask them to help you.
These are just suggestions you can also Pray
  • the Holy Rosary
  • Divine Mercy
Spend time with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration

Though unrelated to your post above I thought you might enjoy these photo’s of a Catholic gentlemen in my city who used to be affiliated with (“The Catholic Right To Life Association”) in Canada. He was successful after making several trips to Rome and getting Mother Teresa to speak on a Canada wide tour before heading to United States.

These pictures were taken in 1984 morecanada.info/photohistory.php

The Missionaries of Charity have done a wonderful job explaining about the relics of Mother Teresa and about Mother Teresa.

In my post #5 I explain and quote an email that I received from Sr. M. Bethany, MC

motherteresa.org/

Classes of Relics

1st Class Relic: a part of the Saint (bone, hair, etc.) and the instruments of Christ’s passion.

2nd Class Relic: something owned by the Saint or instruments of torture used against a martyr

**3rd Class Relic: something that has been touched to a 1st or 2nd Class Relic. You can make your own 3rd Class relics by touching an object to a 1st or 2nd Class Relic, including the tomb of a Saint. **

fisheaters.com/relics.html
That is not correct. A third class relic is something that has touched a first class relic. Something that touches a second class relic does not make it a third class relic.

I’m sorry for stating the website Fisheaters, I didn’t realize that it was a no-no on here but after reading this one thread now I know why

forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=575805&highlight=fisheaters.com

So, I do apologize sincerely for stating the FE website or recommending it.

centurionguard-That is okay I don’t mind I’m always interested about Blessed Mother Teresa. However, the website you provided doesn’t work.

Nevermore22-God bless you for recommending the website.

Thank you for linking to this thread for me, I do hope to receive these. I have a Fatima medal with soil embedded in it, and a splinter of wood from the altar of the vision to Sr Lucy in Pontevedra. The one with Our Lady standing next to Our Crucified Lord, with the words “Graces and Mercy” flowing down from his wounds. It was a gift to parish promoters for the “Mary 2000” program organized in the Philippines in response to the Holy Father’s request that the Church prepare for the 3 years prior to the Millennium, and that families would consecrate themselves and their homes to Our Lady of Fatima. I did this in my parish, we had a traveling Pilgrim Virgin, and gave certificates to each family consecrated, plus; the names were sent to the Philippines, and entered in a book which was presented to the Pope in the year 2000. The Sisters at the Pontevedra convent had kept the pieces of wood from the original altar, when it was renovated post Vatican II, so the priest could face the people. They gave the wood to the organizers in the Philippines, who broke them into splinters, attached them to cards with pictures of the apparition, and sent them as “Thank You’s” to every volunteer parish coordinator. The Holy Cards w/Relics of the Fatima seers, is just what I need to have with this. The Blessed John Paul relic would fittingly be placed with these as well; along with my papal crucifix blessed by him. He was, after all, the Fatima pope.

I’m sorry but I was a little confused on how to receive one. Where did you receive these from?

Thanks,

claypots47- God bless you for sharing your story about the holy relics among the other holy religious medals, articles, cards, etc. that you have.

JDSS- I requested a holy relic of Blessed Fransico, Blessed Jacinto Marto, and Servant of God Lucia of Fatima by sending an email to:

I might have failed to mention this but I also received a letter stating they do not really give out relics only to Priests, Monastaries, etc.

So, please don’t be upset or discouraged if they tell you “No” or if you do not receive a relic…Pray, Pray, Pray, and Pray some more.

This year in July, some of my family and I were blessed to go to an annual Marian Shrine. They were giving away a lot of Free holy medals, statues, pictures, and so forth. <—I donated a bit of money to help the Shrine out.

Anyways, I’m not really sure if the following are relics are not since one is in French and the other one is in Italian on the holy medal it states tela toccata alla s lingua del santo padova which from my understanding means cloth touched by the holy tongue of Saint Anthony of Padua

My sincere apologize for the poor quality in the photos.

The first one is St. Marguerite d’Youville and the other is a holy medal of St. Anthony of Padua.
