Though in this day and age, even the fancy restaurants have relaxed their dress codes considerably.I completely agree with this. People figure Jesus loves them as they are. That’s true. So do your parents. It doesn’t mean a little effort isn’t appreciated.
The best comment I ever heard about proper Mass attire came from a priest discussing the matter with college students. He said, “Many fancy restaurants are jacket-required and you’d have no problem dressing up to eat there. Well, guess what? The Eucharist is the fanciest meal you’re ever going to eat!”
