Why do you think Obama will get re-elected?

Ishii
I believe it will be close, but I really don’t see Romney winning.

I’m not trying to be a jerk here. I just really don’t believe he has captured the American consciousness. He needs that “spark”. It’s just not there.

I support Obama and I see him winning a second term. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong.

In any case I will either eat humble pie like a grown up or I will goat a bit on Nov. 7th. when I log onto CAF.

My views:

I love Clint, but he was a disaster so far as momentum goes. Rubio really had his work cut out for him after that.

Romney’s speech was adequate, but he has, IMHO, all the charisma of Al Gore, and he did a rather strange thing by embracing one of the most expensive public projects in US history…the race to the moon. I really think he was hoping for a bigger hit than he got.

Finally, I have definitely seem more enthusiasm in my years of watching conventions.

Conclusion…this will pay well to his firm base, but do little to sway Independents and Democratic uncertains.

John
I disagree.More than charisma, what will move the Independants is getting this economy moving again. Romney has a proven record of success in rebuilding failing businesses’

Was it just me, or did he have quite some trouble remembering a few of his lines?
I think he was trying to wing it, and it ended up very inconsistent. A shame because, as I said, I really like the guy.

I’m looking forward to more than humble pie. My sales manager bet Obama would win and gave 10-1 odds. I couldn’t resist, so he will owe me $1000 on November 7. 😃

I just care a lot about the future of the country and how women are viewed and treated.
Hmmm…Being a woman I think I’ll take the Republican view that what is between a woman’s ears is more important than what is between her legs.

I should say not…good bet. Personally, I think it will be very close barring any major missteps by one or the other candidate.

The time when elections were won with a overwhelming majority seem long gone. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t have another Bush/Gore election, with O getting the popular vote, but not the electoral votes.

I suggest everyone see the movie Obama’s America 2016. Especially anyone undecided or those devoted to him. After that,if you are still in his camp all I can say is:confused::confused::confused:

Oh come now…that was totally unnecessary and out of character for this forum. Not to mention false.

Who aren’t watching John so don’t worry about them. we have plenty of time and lots more money this go-round.

Certain phrases and images will last, Paul Ryan’s “fading Obama posters” was a real money line. Condi and Rubio were both amazing as well.

I predict however that Romney’s speech will be called jingoistic by the Left, that all this America and God talk is the stuff of flyover country.

As to the enthusiasm level, haven’t seen this much in decades. Last year’s Convention was a snoozefest with the exception of Sarah Palin’s speech that livened up the place. Like several other posters, I’m feeling very good about our choice and their prospects for a winning campaign.

I can give it and I can take it. 🙂

I would deserve a ribbing if Romney wins.

I can only hope that my Conservative friends will be as mature if the outcome is different.🙂

I predict that I will be placed on a few “ignore” lists if folk’s intensity remains as it is.

Lord I hope not. That would be, an unmitigated disaster.
