That’s certainly a stretch, as those thousands of students might find it hard to smoke weed while still living with their parents, unemployed after graduation.

Even if that is the case, no other politician in the arena is getting this demographic actually involved in politics. None, not even Obama has the traction he does. Obama can get them weeweed up for a month or so, but these kids are actually getting involved in the process. Maybe they will be willing to take on the establishment and get marijuana decriminalized…then maybe they will stay involved and take on bigger issues, like entitlements, deficit spending, the profligate military industrial complex.

Why is abortion wrong? Because it is the murder of an innocent child, thats why.

So how can anyone have an exception to that? What parent would kill their own kid just to save their hide? Show me a woman who would murder her kid to save her own hide and I’ll show you a woman who is unfit to be a mother.
 
What time does it actually start because I couldn’t watch it with the bad weather and tv guide said different times. I did watch the recap though. 👍

Obama had the college hope and changers in his pocket in 2008. And yes, they were highly involved then.

The pendulum is always swinging.

I’ve been a long time listener to Bill Bennett’s radio program and as a result of his policy to bring on candidates early on I got to know Kelly Ayotte, Nicky Haley, Allen West, Mia Love etc long before they were on the public stage. These are sincere, hard working people who want to serve America instead of being served a dish of power and influence.

The Black Cacus is pathetic. A bunch of whining, pandering race baiters…gimme, gimme, gimme. In their own way they demean their own race by presuming that blacks by virtue of skin color need constant propping up as if they cannot stand on their own two feet.

Contrast this attitude with that of Mia Love, Nicky Haley, and Allen West all of whom were raised with strong values, a strong work ethic and a determination to be a force for good for their families and communities and their country.

To paraphrase Arthur Brooks’ theory, what the Dems are selling is LEARNED DEPENDENCE. What the Republicans are selling is EARNED SUCCESS.

Thanks. I had a lot of trouble with CNN constantly cutting to the hurricane and even insinuating that the RNC should have been cancelled due to the "disaster.’

Personally, I think they are paying way to much attention to this hurricane because there hasn’t been all the “disaster hurricanes” predicted by the Anthropomorphic Global Climate Change fanatics.

I also won’t expect you to address legitmate points that I’ve brought up. Duly noted. If you refuse to do so, then why enter into a dialogue in the first place? Romney having Bork as an advisor is a very positive thing from the conservative perspective. Anyonen with common sense will admit that.

I could never conceive of supporting Ron Paul for a variety of reasons. However he does have some good ideas that were originally considered “Uncle Crank’s Nuttery” and now have traction. His wanting to audit the Federal Reserve and his somewhat IMO isolationist policies and his desire to cut Federal spending are among the ideas that appeal to young people. I don’t think youth supporting Paul are looking for free weed so much as having an attitude that our “foreign adventures” and over the top spending are borrowing their future. I suspect the Gary Johnson supporters are more about the free weed opportunities. Ron Paul is socially quite conservative.

BTW I thought he looked and sounded frail yesterday. At 77 I don’t think he’s going to be rattling too many cages. I do like his son Rand Paul and think he will take up the mantle without being so off the reservation.
