I agree… Pretty tacky comment…Oh come now…that was totally unnecessary and out of character for this forum. Not to mention false.

I agree. The Democrats have to stop doing that for Obama.I like how some people will change the very definition of what it means to be a Christian just to feel good about who they vote for. Unbelievable.
Well, as a liberal academic, you are a stereotype.I like to avoid stereotypes as best I can. We all, conservatives and liberals, have a tendency to use them, however, including liberal academics like me.
Ana-Just for the record,
Mitt Romney is a self Identifying BISHOP of the Mormon religion.
Also, for the record, the Mormon baptism is NOT recognized by the Catholic Church as being valid.
And, for the record, the Mormon Church is polytheistic.
Mitt Romney also “self identifies” as a “Christian”.
I like how some people will change the very definition of what it means to be a Christian just to feel good about who they vote for. Unbelievable.
We should take him at his word, since none of us can see into another’s soul.Mitt Romney also “self identifies” as a “Christian”.
That’s exactly what I think about those who somehow believe it’s o.k. to vote for the most pro abortion president to have held office. The mental gymnastics are pretty amazingJust for the record,
Mitt Romney also “self identifies” as a “Christian”

Yes you are.Speaking of that…am I the only one who thought that John Boehner dissed His Eminence by simply taking over the podium without an acknowledgment, completely leaving a slightly befuddled Cardinal to quietly make his way back to the backroom on his own?
Hoveround… Ha!!! I had to think about that for a few seconds before I got it!!! Too funny!!Speaking as a political atheist.
No matter which WWF wrestler is in the White House they will continue the policies while giving YOU the illusion that “your man” is on the job. Our economy will continue to sink, we will continue our empire building which inches the world ever closer to nuclear catastrophe, our rights will continue to decay all in the name of “keeping us safe”.
But hey, our party won!
As for Clint Eastwood…
Time for Clint to mount his Hoveround, get back to Hollyweird so he can watch old Rawhide reruns.
We can deal with that kind of bull.

Yes and of course all rags made from sustainable sources of fabrics, certified ‘green’ with no sweatshop labor associated with their deconstructin.

Now that’s a platform I can support.Preferably, the clothing will be made out of smokable Hemp.
Makes me want to haul out my full length mink coat.Yes and of course all rags made from sustainable sources of fabrics, certified ‘green’ with no sweatshop labor associated with their deconstructin.

No, you are most definitely NOT the only one. There was a huge gaff in not thanking Cardinal Dolan. I am not a fan of John Boy anyway. He’s the kind of Republican that needs to GO ASAP!Speaking of that…am I the only one who thought that John Boehner dissed His Eminence by simply taking over the podium without an acknowledgment, completely leaving a slightly befuddled Cardinal to quietly make his way back to the backroom on his own?
Pretty much.In case you haven’t figured it out:
Mitt Romney will say anything to get elected.
whether or not he actually believes or does anything he says he is going to do is between him and God and is on public record as well.
He correctly figured out that if he just says “I’m pro life” he will automatically get the support of millions of people who pretty much vote on one issue, regardless of his record, his true beliefs, or whether or not he really plans on doing anything about it. He knows that they will blindly believe anything else he says because he is “pro life” and therefor has their complete loyalty.
No, this is false, and I don’t know how many times I have had to say it at this point. It might seem logical to say that if someone is not against something, then they must be for it, but that is not the case. He supports the choice for others to make, but you can’t say that he actively wants abortions to take place. There is a huge difference. The truest thing I have seen you write since I’ve been a member of this forum. Not anti-abortion = PRO ABORTION. Thus, ineligible for any Catholic vote.
Agree completely. I know a man (not me) who is pro-murder. He supports the choice for others to make, but you can’t say that he actively wants murders to take place. No, this is false, and I don’t know how many times I have had to say it at this point. It might seem logical to say that if someone is not against something, then they must be for it, but that is not the case. He supports the choice for others to make, but you can’t say that he actively wants abortions to take place. There is a huge difference.
A distinction without a difference. No, this is false, and I don’t know how many times I have had to say it at this point. Bob, please continue posting this as many times as it is necessary, my friend.A distinction without a difference.
No, you can never vote for someone who favors absolutely what’s called the ‘right to choice’ of a woman to destroy human life in her womb, or the right to a procured abortion," he said.
Cardinal Edmund Burke
