Screed by a Lefty blogger citing those amazing anonymous sources. I’m sure it’s all 100% true and their inane conclusions are even more impressive than the credibility of their sources.

Have you even looked at it? Doubtful.

I’ve spent most of the day listening to political commentary on the speech and the only negative about the Eastwood speech mentioned was that because it was so unique, the pundits are talking about Eastwood rather than Romney.

Here is the reference to the oh so credible source as reported by the oh so credible NYT

The campaign had expected “a more standard endorsement,” the New York Times reported,*** citing two anonymous aides. “***Aides said Mr. Eastwood does not like teleprompters and was trusted to deliver an on-message endorsement,” the story continued. This was not the campaign’s fault, no sir.

The nastygram goes on to pick on Mrs Romney, Mrs. Romney’s Olympic dressage horse (why this is such a source of mirth to the Left is beyond me) and claim that Romney is throwing everyone under the bus.

The IRONY of that statement vis a vis Mr Obama’s tactics are delightful! By now Obama’s bus is high centered on bodies from his own grandmother to John Boehner. Wheels spinning but there is no more room.

Honestly this is your source of news?

Lisa
PS SPITZER commenting on Romney is quite delicious as well…

Pointing this post out as evidence of how any source other than LifeSite news or National Catholic Register is treated.

This is why I will not bother citing anything here-it’s a waste of my time. If you want to know where I got my information, do what I did and look it up yourself.

That’s it, keep up with the Nouveau Vendée bias attitude. I guess history does repeat itself

And for your information, many of us “hick” Conservatives really wish your absurd caricaturization were correct, because so far us “hicks” see the same Establishment country-club Rockefeller Republicans ruling the same party with an iron-fist as it did back in the 70s. However even if Jon Huntsman were the nominee people on the Left would still find a way to paint the highly liberal Huntsman as a radical right-wing reactionary.
It’s not my characterization; it’s what I perceive the stereotypical image of Republicans is. A stereotype is an overgeneralized and inaccurate belief about a group held by much of society.

Clint Eastwood made more sense than Mitt.

I still can’t get over the fact that Mitt Romney is the face of the Republican Party or over the fact that there are two pro-abortion, anti-constitution candidates running for President again this year; I will give Mitt some credit - his campaign propaganda was terribly effective at convincing conservatives otherwise.

He said what they wanted to hear, he’s really good at it. He passed himself off as a progressive 10 years ago and he’s passing himself off as a “lifelong” conservative now.

As I said last evening…I love Clint, but he looked like a confused old man last night, and, he made Rubio’s job tougher.

For those who care to look, Clint is quite liberal/moderate on social issues, but very fiscally conservative.

Yep. I lived in Monterey, when he was mayor of Carmel by the Sea. He is more in the Schwartzenegger side of the conservative spectrum.

Oh no, a politician changing their stripes for the chance at power…say it ain’t so.

With all his flip-flops, Romney has said just about everything, and, if he wanted, might also run on the Democratic ticket. He is the quintessential chameleon, like Woody Allen’s “Zelig.”

I didn’t see it until today, but it made me kind of sad. My father just passed 2 months ago from Parkinson’s dementia at 83, and the disjointed nature of Eastwood’s presentation reminded me of the early days of Dad’s dementia. Eastwood is one of my favorite directors and actors and if age is affecting him that is truly sad.

My condolences…it was kind of sad (Clint).
I was blessed to have my parents until they died 22 days apart after 53 years of marriage. However, they were 75 and 76 At the time and their minds were remarkably sharp.
It was painful, but, in retrospect, I’m glad it happened that way.

Actually, the Romney/Ryan ticket is the pro-life ticket - the only one for Catholics who are truly pro-life. For that matter, anyone, Catholic or otherwise, should support this ticket if they want to advance the pro-life cause. What a shame that some people let the perfect be the enemy of the good by saying (wrongly) that “both candidates are pro-abortion”. And you know who suffers from that belief if it helps Obama who is the truly pro-abortion candidate? The unborn - who will suffer through another forty years of Roe V Wade as the law of the land. Time to get serious, folks. We know what we have to do. Don’t hate Republicans more than you hate the unborn. Don’t let your disappointment with the GOP of the past, or disappointment in Romney’s past views or policies cause you to ignore the unborn. He is pro-life and will govern as such. Don’t end up supporting Obama - who is on record as being pro-abortion - because of what Romney did in the past, or what you think he might do.
