Well, we need to reflect on the words of Donna Brazile:

In Which I Agree with Donna Brazile

Sorry, but the lady’s right. From my New York Post column today:

Lost in the weekend’s back-to-back debates in New Hampshire was this illuminating remark by Democratic strategist Donna Brazile after Saturday night’s soporific contest in Manchester: “Mitt Romney won tonight because no one touched him. And for Democrats, you know what? It was good news for us . . . because we believe that the weakest candidate is the candidate that the Republicans are not attacking. And that’s Mitt Romney.”

The remark drew guffaws from some of the other assembled party faithful and media commentators, but Brazile spoke the truth. Democrats do believe that Romney is eminently beatable, the perfect foil for President Obama, in fact.

And yesterday’s debate on “Meet the Press” amply illustrated her point.
Wonder if Brazille will be spirited away until after the election?🙂

Mitt Romney was a liberal governor who obediently implemented homosexual marriage in his state. He supported the late leftist Paul Tsongas for President in 1992. If I was a Democrat, I might be interested in this guy, but why would I ever throw a vote for a guy who was a gun control, homosexual agenda, taxpayer abortion governor as a conservative Republican? Rob

Don’t forget his views on free trade, carbon tax, possible VAT, TSA, etc. etc.

Right Jam. There is no reason to have an opposition party if it caves into every demand of the left. If Romney had Santorum's money. he'd be running at 3-4%. And that's giving him a couple points for his good looks swaying some GOP women. The only thing that separates a Romney from an Obama is that Romney is more eloquent, and he does not have a chip on his shoulder against Americans and our Constitution. :o Rob

Having become interested in election politics only lately , has been hoping to find out more about his working as Gov of Massachusetts - because of his history of having been a mormon convert activist , in France ! , how he almost got killed in an accident there etc : ( ironically, in the land that gave us the MIraculous Medal , and the associated Dogma of Immaculate Conception - seemingly a gift for our times , when errors , in
these latter days, in this area could be behind the lukewarmness / confusion , in many , as to how serious the diffrences are !)

While the Catholic church in the state of Mass. had issues, had also read how viciously aggressive the media and lawyers there were , to vent vengeance on the Church and this seemingly, during his governor ship there ; unsure if there are connections , if not at outright personal level , from a supernatural level !

A combination of mormon loyalty and all else that comes with it , could that not explain some of his other positions ,( like his glee about contraception working 'just fine ’ - ? for non mormons ! )

And the history of where he is led to be or how he chooses to be - in predominantly Catholic lands !

It is good to read that he did become prolife while being Governor and may be the many prayers raised , on behalf of leaders could be partly the reason !

or , could this be , to cause enough lukewarmness , among those who need to care about the overall values of the person, so that , there could be caution , if his desire for power and riches for the mission , a value that got instilled early on , is not in the grand scheme and why Newt had to call him the second most dangerous man
🙂 in America ! Well, only God would know that , right !

And , providentially , there is Callista , wife of Newt - name of former , to mean 'very beautiful ’ ; may be , many in our lands need to care about The Beautiful Mother , who is sort of made to be something else , if we have to take in some of the latter day values , where women’s dignity , her role, to help her husband , to be , chaste and loyal to one wife is not of the revealed truth but of forced law !

Ours is a faith of forgiveness and mercy and hope; thus , there could be room for persons and even groups to improve and embrace better values - just that , when we seem to care much about what could be easily changeable political posturing , or pasts that may have been deeply repented ( even bringing joy to heaven ! ) would it not be more important, to look at the foundations - if it is on salt that has lost its savor , from having been too mixed up with muddy , human ways !

Josephene, all I know is that he ran as a liberal in his races for governor and U.S. Senate from Ma, and now that he faces a more conservative voting electorate, he is running as a moderate to conservative candidate. His appointing of 27 Democrats to the judiciary among only 36 nominees suggests to me that trusting Mitt is a foolish bet for any Republican to make. :coffeeread: Rob

Which candidate does Brazile…or any Democrat analyst…say is the most feared by the Obama administration?

I think they are confident they can beat any of them. 🤷

People can change their positions on issues with experience and insight. Ronald Regan used to be pro choice, yet he changed his position. What somebody supported 20 years ago, does not mean they support it today.

Can you really trust a Democrat strategist? She might be saying that so Republicans do not vote for Mitt because the Democrats really see him as a threat.

BreitbartTV interviewed MSNBC’s Larry O’Donnell in which he said,

”Romney is the one they don’t want. They know they can beat anybody else. Romney, they think they can beat, but it’s a harder road.”

I love how the ABC commentators evaluation of the January 7 debate didn’t reflect what actually happened during the debate. I encourage those that didn’t watch the January 7 debate to actually watch it.

Here is the full debate available on Youtube:

It’s very interesting because it contextualizes and contrasts nicely with the January 8 Meet the Press debate (also available on YouTube).

Without a doubt, I never seen such a bias broadcast. However, I wouldn’t get excited about NH. Romneys turf. You beat him their I’ll be impressed.

The candidate the Democrats fear the most?

Sarah Palin.

If for one second the Democrats thought she would be easy to defeat, they would be encouraging her in every possible way. If the Democrats wanted to run against her, they would be shoveling money into her campaign and they would not have been suing her when she was Governor of Alaska.

I think Romney’s got about the best chance.

I wish he would choose Palin as his running mate but I don’t think he’s that stupid. He’ll make a safe choice.

.
Why do folks say this? I REALLY don’t believe many folks FEAR Palin. I don’t see this fear. . . . .

I am left-leaning and I REALLY SINCERELY want Palin FRONT AND CONTER for as long as possible. I want her talking, showing up on TV, touring; I just want her OUT THERE.

Folks that love her are just making more out of her by saying the liberals fear her.

She’s great for liberals. 🤷

Romney was incredulous at the avoidance of the main central issues of the campaign and of the United States’ economy.

So this is why many people, many of our voters are saying, “Why do you keep doing these CNN and ABC and MSNBC debates?”

This the ABC debate on Saturday night. Stephanopoulos said, “Governor Romney, do you believe that states have the right to ban concepcion, or is that trumped by a constitutional right to privacy?”

Can any of you tell me when the subject of contraception has come up in this campaign? Santorum might have talked about it once, but it’s not a campaign issue. Contraception itself hasn’t been a political issue since the Borking of Robert Bork.

ROMNEY: George, this is an unusual topic that you’re raising. States have a right to ban contraception? I can’t imagine a state banning contraception. I can’t imagine the circumstances where a state would want to do so and if I were a governor of a state –

STEPHANOPOULOS: (interrupting) Well, the Supreme Court had rule on this back in 1965 because a state did.

ROMNEY: – or a legislator of a state I would totally and completely oppose any effort to ban contraception. So you’re asking…? Given the fact that there’s no state that wants to do so and I don’t know of any candidate that wants to do so you’re asking could it constitutionally be done? We can ask our constitutionalist here.

AUDIENCE: (laughter)

Stephanopoulos wanted to continue and did continue down this ridiculous path. He said, “I’m asking you, Governor Romney: Do you believe that states have the right to ban contraception or not?”

**ROMNEY: George, I don’t know whether the state has the right to ban contraception. No state wants to! I mean, the idea of you putting forward things that states might want to do that states no state wants to do, and asking me whether they want to do it or not, is kind of a silly thing, I think. **

AUDIENCE: (wild applause)

STEPHANOPOULOS: Huh, huh, huh.

Code:
You know, you would think that even liberals would admire someone who is intelligent, energetic AND competent, like Sarah Palin. I mean, after 8 mediocre years of Bush and 3 catastrophic years of Obama which have brought us another $5T of debt and dictatorial decrees, you'd think that everyone would hope that America would catch a break.
I guess that as long as you keep laughing and continue the meme that an excellent executive is a joke b/c she wears a skirt and is proud to be a woman, reality in America 2012 may not hurt quite so much. Rob

Yeah, it’s because she wears a skirt and is proud to be a woman- that’s it. That’s the reason why she has become a favorite of the media.

He had no choice but to implement same-sex marriage. It was court ordered by the State Supreme Court…so short of an amendment to the State’s constitution it had to be done.

Name the republican capable of beating Obama in the general election other than Romney…
