Yes candidates gain victories and in the case of FL, Romney received every delegate allotted, even though they win less than a majority.

King thought Paul could win WA too but gave it to Romney in his analysis if my recollection the next day is correct.

I live in WA. There is no chance of Paul winning WA. It sounds like King’s analysis is worthless.

Yep. And, he got more than Gingrich and Santorum combined. They couldn’t even win 50% between the two of them. 😛

You obviously didn’t read my response. Rask presented a straw man, as I never claimed that people were bullied or bribed. In fact, he didn’t even figure out that I was talking to Republicans. I guess it’s easy for y’all to come to a consensus on straw man arguments. 😛
 
I think the press is over playing the Mormon vote in Nevada. Yes compared to other states NV has a sizable LDS population, however it’s still only 11% according to The Pew Forum. While there are 27% Catholics and a good 25% protestant ( mainline and evangelical). Having lived in NV for many years previously, it’s more likely that Romney will win the state because as a whole the state is not that conservative.

And AZ, um no the 4% of LDS ( many of which are FLDS ) in the state are not going to make a significant impact on the outcome of the primary IMO.

I wonder if the press will say that Romney has Idaho locked up though, since it’s 23% Mormon? That state is much more conservative than AZ or NV as a whole.

Look at the 2008 vote…Romney won over 50% in Nevada and Paul came 2nd. Romney will win Nevada.
 
Gingrich won NORTH Florida, which is “the south”.

South Florida could be construed as New York and Boston retirees.

Only 94% of the delegates remaining to be divided up.

I never said he wouldn’t win, I just disagree that it is due to the Mormon vote. Like I said, NV is not that conservative.

I read it. I was merely giving a 👍 in general to the concept of people sincerely, honestly believing things and supporting candidates others don’t. Didn’t mean it in any way to be personal towards you. I know you’re sincerely a Romney guy. 🙂

And, as I’m out of my depression, I have to listen to 5 odd people, maybe more, call me a religious bigot. I mean, that’s one thing, but to say that I defamed the Popes as bigots. That’s the final straw. That is a charge so evil, and so full of sin and Satan. That, I refuse to participate in this forum anymore. Nothings going to be done about it. And its entire substance is that of hatred directed at me. I’m through.

He may be preordained by the media and the Republican establishment, but he’s actually campaigning on VERY LITTLE. His message is very very weak. He’s a businessman, he knows the most about the economy… Is that really it? Anyways, Newt’s message and Santorum’s message are both WAY better than his. And, furthermore their economic policies are far more conservative.

So, we hope and pray that we don’t nominate Romney.

If we nominate Romney, then you’re right our options are few. I personally refuse to vote for someone who isn’t a Christian. I will never do that in my life. [The one and only exception will be a Jew, but that will be the only exception for the rest of my life].

So, you gotta choose between: vote for Romney, vote for someone else (3rd party), stay home

Yes, it looks like hatred continues to consume their hearts. I think I’ll abide by the words of His Holiness, Supreme Pontiff, Vicar of Christ, Bishop of Rome: Pope Benedict XVI, when he says that social networking and online communication shouldn’t replace face-to-face communication. He is right. None of the things you people type would ever be said to my face. (at least I hope you’re really not THAT hateful and rude… it is possible though…).

I WOULD NEVER say anything negative about the Popes. EVER. And, yet, that is what I’m accused of.

Semper Zelare, I actually pray a lot. And while we’ve certainly had our differences, I never looked at you as someone who defamed the Popes. And know I likewise do not hate Catholics just because we’ve had differences. I have many in my family. 👍 In regards to your voting, I just figure if you have a Mormon friend but can not vote for a Mormon, then you can not vote for a Mormon. You have the right to vote for whomever or not to vote. 🤷 God bless you and peace.

Praying for Semper Zelare’s hope that someone more conservative than Romney is on the ballot. He posted conservatives won’t volunteer for Mitt and there will be no enthusiasm in the campaign. But sure I pray for all our Presidents. If you’re refering to employee healthcare benefits, I wouldn’t say it’s particularly an issue that makes me exceptionally happy or sad. I suppose though the hospitals employ non-Catholics who don’t hold to all of the same beliefs their employer does. Not sure I’d want an employer basing benefits on their own faith beliefs. But at the same time certainly a Catholic employee need not use those benefits. Off topic though Ishii. There’s at least one thread where the topic is being discussed.

Yes, Florida is the exception, rather than the rule, for proportional allocation of delegates to the convention on events held prior to April 1. A total of 10 States and Territories are winner-take all this year. 47 States and Territories are not.
