Dear Ellen,

Having discovered what it’s like to have difficulty breathing on a trip to Colorado and passing a night with altitude sickness realizing the impossibility of driving down to a lower elevation to safety until morning due to the darkness and narrow steepness of unfamiliar mountain roads, I can understand what you went through.

You are definitely in my prayers!

ellen - praying all your fears and anxieties to be comforted by God’s grace and compassion.

Be still and know that I am God. Do not let your heart be troubled.

Be well and our prayers are with you.

I continue, as a Prayer Warrior, to pray for all of you out there who are requesting prayers. I feel as if all of you are friends of mine in Christ. I know you all help me to get through some of the difficult days in my life . Thank you for your prayers and support.

Thank you for taking the time to post such a beautiful message Ellen. It comforts me to know you are praying for us. I am doing the same.

Like you, I am so blessed to have my CAF family. CAF is truly a gift from God, and I am thankful to my Catholic brothers and sisters for making it so wonderful.

Sincerely,

Praying for you Ellen.

It’s the ability to pray for others during their tough times that gives all of us the ability to get through our own tough times with more humility and grace. Gifts are meant to be shared and it is a blessing to share the gift of prayer with so many others via CAF.

Be well and God Bless to all.

I have the same thing as you, and I will pray for you.
My name is Ellen also 😉

Ellen:
It has been said that nothing happens by coincidence. This pertains,I would think, to our having the same names and same illnessess. Thank you for your prayers and I will pray for you also.

I dont believe in coincidences as well, I think things happen for a reason. I hope you have been getting better since you have started praying.
The best advice I can give you other than praying and asking for Gods help is to really challenge some of the negative thoughts that bring on the anxiety. It takes a long time to master it, but it helps calm you down.
For example:
Your getting tight in the chest.
Say to yourself, its just your muscles contracting, its nothing that is going to harm you, you will be alright.
Once you realise that the anxiety is just ‘there’ and will not harm you, its starts to slowly fade and you calm down.
I hope this advice helps you.
Take care
Your in my prayers.
Ill dedicate my rosary for you tonight 🙂

Dear Ellen:
Thank you so much for continuing to pray for me. Yes, my condition has seemed to be improving and I know it has to do with all the prayers I have been receiving including your’s.
Thank you also for the relaxation techniques. They do seem to help and diminish the negative thinking.
You have been very helpful . God bless you.
Ellen
