Chatting is rude before Mass as well. Jesus is there waiting to hear from you He speaks to us in a still small voice that one cannot hear if one is having to endure listening to other people. I did a lot of chatting (about dancing of all things) after Mass today. That chatting was in an area where there is a stone picknic table and benches. The conversation was enjoyable. I was able to meet a very interesting member of the parish. We interrupted no one’s prayers.I do not chat in Church. But should someone say to me, “Good morning, how have you been? Is everything going ok?” I wouldn’t be so rude as to snap my finger, point to the tabernacle and then place my forefinger over my lips and go “sssshhhhhsssshhh.”
Chatting during the homily would be rude and out of place since it takes place during Mass.
Charity means love of neighbor as yourself. Do you agree? If not, why not?
